Hayot Hotel — Hotel in Tashkent

I chose this hotel because I had an early flight to catch. The driver was right on time at 2:30am and drove me to the airport for free.||||The location is quite far away for the center and there is not much around. So you have no other option but to eat at the restaurant of the hotel. The food is just ok, but prices are reasonable.||||Check-in was quick. The ladies at the front staff spoke English, which definitely helped to book the airport transfer.||||I was given a room on the first floor facing the street. There is no elevator, however this was not a problem for me. The room was large, comfortable, and well-appointed. I later found out that the room window did not close properly so I could hear the traffic noise, which was a problem to sleep. You should ask for a room facing the rear of the building if you want a quiet room.||||Internet access is free but for a strange reason I could not connect in the middle...

Initially we used this hotel for an overnight stay to catch our next flight however our experience was so great that we decided on our way back to Tashkent, we were going to stay there again. Staff, although their English is not that great were very friendly and helpful - for example, they were kind enough to help us catch a taxi and to make sure that we paid a fair price given the amount of overcharging that foreigners are inevitably subject to when in Uzbekistan. Rooms are large comfortable and clean. The fact that they offer the free shuttle service to the airport is wonderful! We also appreciated that they called for us a nearby restaurant to order food as we were late to reach the airport.||Minor downside - if you want to use the swimming pool, one is charged 15 USD and of course the location is not in downtown Tashkent although by taxi you reach the city centre in few minutes and for little...
