My wife and I stayed here three nights. Staff are helpful. Our first room was too small for us and two suitcases. The front desk clerk (quiet fellow who speaks very clear English) moved us right away. ||Rooms are clean and comfortable if a bit weary looking. A/C is quiet and effective. Shower, sink and toilet were all in one room which is weird for a Canadian but it works. Hint- flip on the circuit breaker by the bathroom light switches to power the hot water heater. ||Breakfast was a hit one day and a miss on two: fried eggs, baguettes and passable brewed coffee. And a banana. Then a contingent of people in uniforms checked in and there was a buffet. The only issue was a light on the AC which lit the room, every time it came on, which was annoying during the night. Choice of noodles or omelette for brekkie, the omelette turned out to be two fried eggs! Seemed a bit out of the way from the bars & restaurants. That said, there isn't much to do in Dong Hoi as its a drop off point for getting to the Phong Nha Ke Bang...
