Hậu Giang Hotel 2 — Hotel in Cần Thơ

Well first it is a 2 stars hotel and not a 3 stars. We stayed there as a part of our tour on the Mekong and the hotel was booked by the tour. We had indeed asked for a 2 stars hotel package but we were still surprised to end up there. Once we got to the room, there was mould on the sink and in the shower, and we could see so many tiny insects on every wall of the room. When we went to the reception to tell them, they didn't look surprised and just sent a cleaning lady to kill all of them and asked us to leave for an hour without even offering to change our room to another one (although they had other rooms available). When we came back there were almost none left but still. And the rooms are very noisy, the breakfast is okay you have a few options. Good location. Also the staff doesn'tspeak English at all so you have to use google translate to talk to them. I think you could find other better hotels for...

Whoever rated this a 3 star hotel was clearly off mark. This is more of a backpackers hotel or a 2star hotel. Non existant door person to help with luggage, lackluster reception, motorcycles kept in the reception area. The rooms look dated. Seems like one of the beds was missing in my room. The bathroom is outdated with an electric shower in the bathroom. Tv is |a 14 inch TV. No complimentary water. Not on the street but in an alleyway. There seems to have had work done on the ceiling. Probably fixed a leaking ceiling.|Besides all this, the hotel is strategically located near to the Can Tho night market and Riverside view. I would suggest if one could spend a little more money on accomodation in Can Tho, go for it. I would if I knew how...
