Reviewed as an attraction only; I would've liked to stay on one of their rooms, and then take the time to visit the complex after the mass amount of tourists leave....but they are strict with NO PETS ALLOWED. Yet I can visit the attraction during business hours with my dog!?!?! That to me is so bizarre. So, as an attraction, and during visitation hours, it's utter mayhem and thorough madness. Simply put, they permit way too many visitors all at once (no bookings or reservations are needed). Trying to navigate the very, narrow, and winding staircases (with very low barricades / balustrades) is insanely difficult and a bit dangerous. Plus, there's no direction in which way to travel on these stairways, and people traverse both ways, creating congestion points and precarious overtaking points. The owners need to take some control and manage the crowds and the directions people walk. (Noting that some of these walkways/stairs are fairly high up....a fall from these heights could be fatal). Honestly, I think they need to take visits only by reservation, decrease the number of visitors per session, and then increase the entrance price (to cover their expenses due to lesser visitors). Only 2 stars due to this overcrowding and lack of management....could be a 3 or 4 star place. The attraction itself is really good and enjoyable to explore all facets of the place (notwithstanding the overcrowding at most times during operating hours). However, it's not suited to everyone's taste. There are a multitude of maze-like walkways, suspension bridges, and stairways that lead to many different; sculpted sections, small nooks to sit, accommodations, gardens, and themed rooms. You could literally spend hours exploring the entire place. Unfortunately it is more visual than photographic (most things are crammed in too close), but there are some nice opportunities to take photos (selfie lovers & Instagramers seem to adore posing in many areas....and poses 🤣🤣...to the hindrance of others.) Video bloggers would probably love it more than photographers. I didn't bother to investigate the whole place (too crowded), but I was lucky enough to visit this place way back in 2009....hardly any crowds back then. Lastly, I was permitted inside with my dog (her dog clipping appointment was cancelled at the last minute) but it was unwise of me to do so, as it was difficult to manoeuvre the narrow areas and steps while carrying her with the masses of visitors. It was only a last-minute thing as I left DaLat...
Read moreJust spent 3 nights here and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I was nearly put off by some of the other reviews about having to leave your room open etc but so glad I wasn't. So this is a review just about starting here First of all you do NOT have to leave your room open for viewing. It's your room just like any other hotel so whether you're in or out you just lock the door. Secondly there is a gate in front of your door. I always shut that with a do not disturb sign and I never had anyone knock or try to open my door. Continuing with privacy all the rooms with windows onto a corridor have frosted glass so no-one can see. As far as I could see all rooms have at least one window away from a corridor so you can have natural light and privacy. Visiting time is 0800-1900 (however theres very few people left after 1800) During this time it is quite busy and you will hear people outside your room talking to others in their party. That said will you not also be out and about sightseeing during the hours? As a resident you can wander around the site 24/7 although the narrow sky walks would be haphazard after dark. Best do them in the morning before 8. The rooms are small (some as small as 12 sq m) and I think those ones would be a bit of a squeeze for 2 people. Any that say max 3 or 4 are certainly ok for a couple. Whilst the architecture in the rooms is stunning there's not a lot to do. No TV but there is WiFi, and while the chairs look great they are quite hard to sit on so you might find yourself lying on the bed a lot. There is a fireplace and the staff will light a fire for you if you're cold. Living in Europe I was warm enough at night. The shower had instant hot water and there's a hairdryer and a few other small amenities in the bathroom. One last tip is I would try to avoid the Bamboo and kangaroo rooms if you are going to be in your room much during the day. That's because they're at the start so get a lot of passing traffic and the kangaroo room also has a seating area right outside it. I was in Gourd and as it was at the top of the building at the end of a dead end corridor it was relatively peaceful. Bottom line o is if you struggle with stairs this might not be for you, be very careful with young children on the sky walks due to the low walls and if you're thinking of booking a...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit a stunningly designed architectural masterpiece and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The building boasts a sleek and modern design, with clean lines and an efficient use of space. The attention to detail in every aspect of the architecture was phenomenal, from the carefully curated materials used to the thoughtfully placed windows and skylights that allowed natural light to flow in.
One of the standout features of this place was the harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a seamless connection between the building and its surroundings. The exterior of the building was equally impressive, with its contemporary style and beautiful landscaping adding to the overall aesthetic.
The interiors were just as breathtaking, with a minimalist yet warm and inviting feel. Every room was tastefully decorated, and the use of natural materials such as wood and stone added to the serene atmosphere. The open plan layout allowed for a great flow of movement throughout the building, and the well-placed artwork and accents added a touch of sophistication.
In terms of functionality, the building was incredibly practical and efficient, with state-of-the-art amenities and systems in place to ensure a comfortable and convenient experience for all visitors.
Overall, this architectural marvel truly embodies the perfect balance between form and function, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and inspiring place to visit. It truly is a feast for the senses, and I cannot...
