BE CAREFUL — THIS PLACE IS A SCAM
The rooms are NOT like the pictures. The owner is incredibly rude and will try to give you the worst possible option that has nothing to do with what you booked. He will argue with you and try to upsell you even after you've paid.
Here’s what happened:
I had a confirmed reservation through Agoda for a private room, and I arrived exactly at 2 PM — the listed check-in time. The owner told me I was "too early" and pointed at a piece of paper that literally said check-in at 2 PM. I told him it was exactly 2 PM, and he shrugged, saying he was "busy."
He then checked my booking and told me they were fully booked and had no rooms left. But just minutes later, another guy walked in without a booking and asked for a private room — and guess what? The owner gave him one. So apparently there was availability… just not for me.
Instead, the owner pointed to a couch in an open common area and said I could sleep there. I told him I booked a private room, showed him the confirmation and photos, and he replied, “You paid a cheap price, you get a cheap room. If you want a better room, give me more money.”
So first he says it’s fully booked, then says I can pay more for a room? Total scam tactics.
He then offered me a room in a different building 200 meters away, which turned out to be tiny, noisy, and completely different from the pictures. At this point, I asked for my money back, and he told me to “call Agoda,” saying “I don’t have your money.” He just kept arguing and blaming me, even though he clearly lied about availability.
Thankfully, Agoda stepped in and gave me a refund. But this whole experience was horrible.

I booked a quadruple room, arrived early and received a message telling me to go to the other address 114 Ngoc Ha instead of the listed 160 Ngoc Ha. I didn’t check the message until the cab drop us and our luggage in front of the 160. My mom came in first while we were dealing with the luggage and came out telling us we have to go to 114. I came in again to question them why, and he yelled that “why you are still here? I have people waiting for you at 114. I’m having my lunch and you are bothering me. If you want to check in early, there is a room in 114 with no early checkin fee. Or you have to wait for 2 hour here until your room is ready.” I was pissed since we only wanted to drop the luggage and go for lunch, but when I realized there is no elevator on premises, I was leaning toward staying at 114 since my mom has bas knee. So I walked to the other property they affiliated with. Guess what? Yes they wanted to CHARGE early checkin, no elevator, fourth floor room with bathroom outside. That’s a no no. We ended up staying on a hotel nearby. I could not get over the way the receptionist trick me into going to 114 claiming free early checkin, then the owner of the other property said that would never happened. Then the 160 receptionist said they never said free checkin early. Read moreThis was an absolute nightmare. I booked for 8 nights, and the check-in time was clearly 1 PM. I still gave them extra time and arrived at 3 PM. I even called the reception twice, and they assured me everything was fine. Because of roadblocks, I only got there at 4 PM — and guess what? The room wasn’t even ready. They had the nerve to tell me to wait another 2 hours.
Completely unacceptable. I told them I work online and needed a quiet place immediately, and I politely asked if I could at least use the lounge until the room was ready. The guy at reception flat-out refused, with zero care or respect. He didn’t even let me inside and forced me to sit outside on a chair like some stranger loitering around.
I waited and waited, and the room never got ready. That was it — I canceled on the spot and left. These people are irresponsible, careless, and have absolutely no regard for exhausted travelers carrying luggage. Because of their incompetence, I was left stranded on the road trying to book another place last minute, just minutes before an important Zoom meeting.
