Sunny Hotel II — Hotel in Hà Nội

We stayed at the Sunny whilst visiting our daughter who was living in the area. Talk about a hidden gem you would be pushed to find it on your own and I would definitely recommend booking a cab thr ugh the hotel when you arrive as they know where to take you. We actually stayed in two rooms and both were perfect. We stayed 4 nights, travelled to Tam Coc for the weekend and then stayed a last night before flying out again. ||Über is epic in Vietnam and although the hotel was out of the centre an Uber cost about £1 to the centre. The area is quiet compared to the city centre and the hotel looks out over a man made lake in a little back street so we had no noise issues at all. ||Breakfast was traditional Vietnamese and delish. Always hot and plentiful. The freshly made omelettes were a real treat. ||All in all we had a marvellous stay. The staff were friendly and spoke really good English and as a base to visit the area it was amazing value for money and really great quality. When you pay they don't give you any receipts and sometimes they forget to write on their book. I had already paid one night at my arrival and had to pay only the second one. However when I leaving for the airport staff could not find a record of my payment and they held me for 30 minutes, I almost missed my flight!! They don't accept cards so luckily I was able to pay cash in euro. Later they checked the camera and confirmed that I had paid already, however when asked to do a bank transfer they stopped replying. This hotel is pretty good, the staffs is professional and friendly too. The room is clean and its furniture is almost full enough for using.|Weak points of this hotel are: expensive price of food, and its location; the entrance is in a narrow alley, the alley is almost big enough for a car.
