IF I COULD PICK LESS THAN 1 STAR I WOULD. Please avoid booking at all costs.
Absolutely awful experience at this hotel, and I feel compelled to warn others before they make the same mistake.
We arrived at 1:00am, well past the official check-in time of 2:00pm the day before, only to find that our room wasn’t even ready. At that time of night, after a long journey, this was completely unacceptable.
The receptionist then ran upstairs alone to “check if the room was clean” - which, again, is absolutely absurd considering check-in had opened over 11 hours earlier. After a few minutes, he came running back down to inform us that the air conditioning was broken. His solution? He could “help us find another place to stay” - at 1:30 in the morning. Not only was this laughably unhelpful, it showed an alarming lack of preparedness or basic hospitality.
I asked if they had a fan available — they didn’t. We eventually asked if we could just see the room and decide for ourselves. We reluctantly chose to stay since it was the middle of the night and we were exhausted. The room was sweltering, it was hard to breathe, and there was a foul, musty smell lingering in the air.
To top it all off, we weren’t even put in the room we had booked. We had specifically chosen the Deluxe Double Room, and the room we were given was clearly not it — the layout, bed, and windows didn’t match any of the photos we had booked from. It felt like we were thrown into a spare room just to get rid of us. We paid extra for this room and we were only given 1 towel too, just basic lack of hotel etiquette when clearly 2 persons are on the booking.
The customer service was appalling, the hotel felt totally disorganised and smelly, and the whole experience felt like a bad joke. I genuinely beg you to avoid this place — save yourself the frustration, the sleepless night, and the disappointment. We had 4 hours sleep as we wanted to wake up as early as possible and GET OUT. We’ve now booked a new room, fingers crossed this new hotel is ok.
Annoyingly I only took a video of the room so I’ve only got this as evidence of how horrible but a screenshot to show the small section of the room and the fact this is not what...
Read moreI recently stayed at Coco Hotel and had a truly excellent experience, largely thanks to their incredible staff. The hotel itself is quite comfortable, with clean rooms and a pleasant atmosphere. It’s definitely a solid choice for anyone visiting the area. However, what truly made my stay memorable was the night-shift front desk attendant, Hiếu. I had a bit of trouble with the air conditioning in my room – it just wasn't working properly. I called down to the front desk late at night, expecting to maybe get a maintenance request put in for the next day. Instead, Hiếu immediately came up to my room. They were so patient and efficient, managing to fix the AC issue quickly and without any fuss. Their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile, even in the middle of the night, were truly impressive. As a bonus, I asked Hiếu for recommendations for good local food, and they pointed me to an area with tons of delicious street food stalls and local restaurants. It was exactly what I was looking for, and I enjoyed some fantastic meals thanks to their advice. That kind of personalized help makes all the difference. I highly recommend Coco Hotel, especially if you appreciate genuinely helpful and attentive...
Read moreI booked this hotel because of the ' Deluxe view of the city' they advertised. On photos you can see they can't be further than the truth 😂Bathroom was very basic, no shower cabin, room was tiny, not even close to that one on theur advertisement, like in many ' hotels' in Vietnam, they charge for the ' mini- bar'. I wouldn't mind paying if that was proper mini -bar. Instead, they put few beers in a mini fridge, few bags of crisps and instant noodles 😂They charge 25.000 VND for 0.33 water bottle and around the corner, i bought 1.5 l for 14.000.This is definitely not the way to run a business. So...
