Hạ Long Lily Homestay — Hotel in Hạ Long City

This beautiful Homestay was our first experience of staying with a Host. The accommodation looks onto the Bay from the top veranda and we had a side view from our bedroom. Lily’s parents were so accommodating and went out of their way to assist our every need. We rented a scooter for a few days so we could sign-see at our own pace which they provided for a small fee of 150 vd per day. Our laundry was also taken care of for a small charge. We went on a 4 hour cruise which they also arranged and it was amazing. The cruise provided an excellent lunch included in the price but drinks and ice creams etc were extra. Lily’s father took us to the harbour and picked us up. We then flew from Haiphong Airport which we didn’t realise wasn’t the closest one but her mother took care of the taxi arrangements from the Homestay.||This couple are totally amazing, very kind, very informative and exceptional hosts. If you require any services they are there to advise you, I suggest that any travel arrangements you need to make should be suggested to the mother as she goes out of her way to get you the best route, prices etc and her English is great too.||Overall, we had the best stay here and we would gladly return as the couple are totally amazing. Excellent host! Lily’s mom is extremely helpful and very friendly, and made my stay very enjoyable. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom has a big bathtub. The general feel of the homestay is like staying at home while in Ha Long Bay, and the rooftop has a seating area with very nice view of the bay. You can walk to the beach area and Big C supermarket, and some of the best restaurants are within walking distance. The host also allows home-cooking and will help you buy groceries from local markets should you need it.

My partner and I absolutely loved staying with Lily. She arranged everything for us and made us feel at home. She booked travel from Hanoi for us prepaid, she organised a 5* cruise for us and did not charge us room cost even though our luggage was being held there. Lily,s husband dropped us to different locations and nothing was a trouble for them. Laundry was done quickly and came back smelling lovely and folded delicately. I was feeling unwell and Lily made honey and lemon juice for me which is a lovely home comfort, something which not many people provide.
