Hyatt Place Ha Long Bay, Bai Chay — Hotel in Hạ Long City

We spent the day in Ha Long Bay and had several hours (11:00-20:00) to wait before our evening bus to Ha Giang. To make the most of our time, we decided to spend the day at Hyatt Place Ha Long Bay. Although we didn’t stay overnight, we had an amazing time relaxing and enjoying the great facilities they offer: an infinity pool, fitness centre, and restaurant (with room service).

Since we had to check out earlier than usual, this may have been a bit confusing at first for the receptionist, but he handled it perfectly and answered all our questions with patience and care. We had booked a bus but hadn’t received a definite pick-up time or location. The reception staff went out of his way and offer to call the bus office for us to resolve the situation (since he knew we couldn’t speak Vietnamese).

He even offered to keep our room available, just in case things didn’t work out as planned.

In the end, everything worked out perfectly for us, and we highly recommend Hyatt Place Ha Long for the (short but very memorable) stay we had!

P.S. A good thing to know is that they offer a swimming pool day pass at the time of writing this review. Therefore, there is no need to book a room if you just want to spend part of the day there. We only found this out after booking our room, but in the end, we...

The hotel is relatively new, the staff mentioned it had only opened about two months ago. The team is well-trained and service-oriented, which made a positive impression. Upon arrival, my family and I were welcomed with a complimentary drink, which was much appreciated after a nearly four-hour journey from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay. It was a warm and thoughtful gesture that set the tone for a good customer experience.Our stay was pleasant overall. The most impressed I have ever been at a hotel. They are just opening (so it’s empty) but the service was clearly trying so hard to make our visit special. Thank you to Dai and his team for going above and beyond.

The restaurant blew us away. Don’t miss the crab spring rolls or the northern beef salad. Beautiful mix of local healthy options and your standard Hyatt fare for less adventurous eaters. We will not soon forget the smoothies or coconut coffees!
