We loved everything. In 8 years of travelling this is by far the best all round experience we've had. The location is excellent, just back off the main road so is quiet, but easy walking distance from shops and eateries. Lim and her mum are lovely, so kind and friendly, with lots of advice and help whenever required. The rooms are beautiful and the common areas very clean and welcoming. We were upgraded for free as Lim said the room we'd booked was too hot. The WiFi is excellent and there is free tea, coffee, bananas and biscuits all day. The free breakfast was fantastic and really filling. We were lucky to have Lim and her mum cook for us twice in the evenings, and the food was amazing and so very reasonably priced. There are free bicycles to use and just cycling round the rice fields was lovely. She can also arrange for a scooter which is brought by a man in the village. The local bus runs past and Lim arranged for them to ring when they were close so we could walk down and catch it. We booked 3 nights, stayed 4, and would definitely stay longer but we are at the end of our visa. We will definitely come back next time we're in...
Read moreCharming stilt bungalows, designed and by a young woman named Lim. The bungalows are new, with high, lacquered, bamboo ceilings. Wonderful antique furnishings, plants and flowers and a picture-book, traditional bathroom, which is fully appointed and immaculate as is the whole premises. A/C and ceiling fan, of course. Faultless rooms and premises. Very reasonable prices and Lim is an amazing cook! We chose to eat there every night as we were confident that nothing in the village could match for flavour or cleanliness. Dinner and breakfast are served under a large, beamed structure, with a high-vaulted bamboo ceiling, serviced by a large ceiling fan, for a comfortable temperature.||Laundry? Free! Bicycles? Free usage!||Lim is a remarkable woman who highly intelligent and yet delightfully simple. She does much for the needy in the area. She teaches Literature at high school and was in the middle of writing a script for a television documentary while we were staying. Lim’s House is a sanctuary and...
Read moreThis place was just great and Lim was just as great, and speak sufficient English.||||Nice room, well maintained and the best bathroom I have seen in Southeast Asia for this class of accommodation. Style-wise, the place is on the rustic side, but everything is tastefully done and super clean. She definitely puts a lot of attention to detail which makes this place charming.||||Lim offered breakfast and dinner for a very affordable price (I think 3$ US for dinner). Dinner included 4 Vietnamese dishes + rice and the portions generous enough that I could barely finish everything she cooked that night; I biked 70 km uphill that day, I was hungry! Everything was authentic and quite yummy! ||||Location is a bit remote from the main town, but she has a few bikes you can borrow if you don't already have transportation. It's only a few minutes to get to town and the promenade is great.||||Two complain||1. Like anywhere else, the beds are really hard||2. Now everywhere else I stay won’t...
