We took this homestay because the reviews were good and as we like our little confort, we normally take rather very good homestays . Well, this homestay is very very basic. The woman that runs the homestay speaks some English and if she is not there, you can speak with somebody else with Google translater. The good point 🙂is that they are very friendly and very helpful. They helped us with bustickets and found a solution for renting a scooter (as we couldn't find available scooters anymore). So for this I give a maximum score. What I didn't like: ☹ 1) In our room there was very weak or no wifi or internet connection, so I had to go outside to the common room to use wifi for connection. 2) a)The matrass was really very very hard (even if my husband likes hard matrasses, this one was as hard as a board). b) As I nearly always take off the cover of the pillow to put my own little travel pillow inside, well the pillow had a hole, and as there was no undercover, foam pieces were in the cover. The pillow itself was even very dirty... but this I had already seen before in this kind of situations. c) the blanket had no cover, so I asked them a sheet and they gave it immediately to me. It was a sheet for a matress, but I didn't care...This is the second time in one month in Vietnam that this happens to me. For hygienic reason and sleeping confort I prefer a sheet (you can obviously wash better a coton sheet than a synthetic blanket). 3) No hangers for the clothes. As we took rain, our clothes were wet, so I wanted to dry them. As nobody of the responsable people were there, I searched everywhere downside for a cloth-hanger and finally I found one little old metal hanger near the kitchen. 4) When we took possession of the room, the garbage bin in the room was not emptied and full of the previous visitor. Behind the sink faucet was left a empty little toothpaste tube of also a previous visitor although the sanitary was very clean. 5) The air-conditioning works well but the coolermachine outside the window is not well regulated and so it is rather noisy (vibration-noise) what disturbed us a bit for sleeping. 6) The window in the bathroom above the 'shower' didn't had glass and was just an open hole without a net to prevent animals from entering. So before you make a choice for a homestay, you should know that the people that run this homestay are very friendly and helpful, but the rest is really not good and basic. This choice of homestay was a big...
