Hong Tuoi Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

We arrived at 7 am with luggage and small child, I walked in the hotel, the receptionist didn't speak any English, so I used google translate to communicate, I told him that I need a room with 2 beds. He shown me the room, it looked ok, I asked for the price, he said $5. I asked again if it was the price for the room, he said yes. I have him 3 our passports, he have me a key. Then my husband carried all our heavy suitcases up the stairs to the reception. The price for the room immediately went up to VND700000, ok... Then I asked what was $5. He didn't answer. Then he called somebody who spoke just a little English, and the lady on the phone said that the room is not available for us. Unbelievable. She said it is fully booked for tonight, even though several rooms are available to book right now, as I am typing this review. I guess they don't like Russians there... I don't see any other reason why they refused us a room. Of course after being thrown out, neither we wanted to stay there nor book this hotel through Agoda. What an experience! Not friendly!...

The reason why we were staying there in April was the Wedding of a good Friend of ours.||He got married at “ADORA Wedding Center” and it is a 2 min walk from this Hotel.||This is the only benefit, staying in this Hotel.||We were staying in the in the so called VIP Room, surly not VIP as I know it.||Negatives ||Not clean Sheets (some blood stain)||Cigarette ashes and Cigarettes in the Draw of the center Bed site cabinet ||Noise at night from 5 cafe Shops in front of the Hotel until 1am in the morning||Worn Furniture ||Positives ||Reception friendly (but speak little English)||Close to “ADORA Wedding Center”||After the weeding we moved to the City more choice of...

Good location for the airport. Very reasonable room rates. After two months, I came back and now the quality dropped. Dirty room, dirty toilet. I accidentally opened the fridge and almost threw up because of a dead-rat-like smell. Bedsheets seemed ages since the last time they were changed. The receptionist was even unable to locate my reservation and the next morning, she was going to charge me again though I had paid already, by this time I realized I had been overcharged. The actual room rates are much lower than what I had paid for! Never...
