I'm trying to understand why Koreans get better treatment than westerners (9/10 reviews here are by Koreans). Though it all begins perfectly. Arriving, nice welcome by owner explaining the ritual. 90' massage (450k) is 10' foot spa and rest body massage. Only cash payment. Two of us as couple, two masseuses arrive on scooter after 5 minutes, not dressed in the nice suits the others on site have, and are tending to Korean customers already. My masseuse is late so my foot treatment is short and mostly on one foot, and she actually finishes before the other masseuse does. The Korean customers got much longer, proper treatment, we saw them already when we arrived. Fine, I'll go with it. 🫤 When I lay down, as normal, she pulls the briefs down a bit to access the lower back, but then she smacks my left butt cheek. TF?! During the massage, the women are chatting constantly. I ask them if it's important, they ask why, I tell them that we want to relax and their talk is bothering. Mind you, this is not a cheap place. For me, lost one star from greatness definitely. The paper you fill out when entering and mark where you want massage is being loudly waved around and looked at at least 5 times under the first 30'. They can't seem to memorize 3 coherent places we requested (back, shoulder, neck). Then I start getting arm massage... 🙄 I have to tell her I didn't want that, it's not marked on the paper. (Great thing, you mark on the right part of the paper what areas you want, then cross out on the body sketch on the left where you do NOT want. Confused?) Hot stones are now being deployed. The sound they make picking them up from a bucket, makes the sound of being in a school canteen, slamming metal around. I've had hot stone massage before, you shouldn't be aware that they are picked up. Then they massage with them, every stroke smacking them together on your neck, or fiddling with them next to your ear, clashing them together. This is now the opposite of relaxing. The AC is blowing cold on my back, I ask them to direct it elsewhere, instead I get the towel on my back to protect me. Fine, but when the back is massaged again, the towel is off and it's cold. At least the masseuse stayed cool, good for her. But I'm the one paying for this, not her. There goes another star. Massage is uneven, right side gets better pressure than left. Not looking for the muscles really. Final suprise; when it's finished, they don't leave the room so we can get dressed or let us relax a minute, but start to clean the beds and pull out the towel from under you. I'm now down to "Disliked it". I've been to much cheaper places, less classy, but gotten real muscle releasing massage and much more professional treatment. On our way out, place is empty, owner just walks by, no interest in asking how it was. None of the owners bat an eye. No tea or water after. They got full price from us for half class treatment. This is not the 5⭐ place they want to look...
Read moreFirst of all, I can't trust other people's reviews to be true.
Today I ordered a 75 minute oil massage and a 65 minute head detox with face spa.
The reception, corridors and changing rooms were hot like a sauna.
The staff handed me very small clothes and told me to wear them, but the clothes were too small for me to wear. They didn't even change me to a bigger size clothes instead, so I had to wear only pants and have my upper body naked and receive a massage.
Regarding the oil massage, the staff worked hard, so it was good, but the overall power was too strong. Staff asked me are you okay? So I answered the staff iin English to make it a little less powerful, but the staff didn't seem to understand. If staff can’t understand, why staff asked? Just asking is a wasteful act.
The worst is the face spa and head detox after the massage.
The bed was too small for me to fit in. And bed was so hard that my back and waist hurt a lot during the procedure.
As a result, I left the store in more pain than before came to the massage.
The face spa didn’t put any cream or etc, I had to go out from shop with very dry face skin.
Staff also used a comb to detox my head very strongly, so my whole head still tingles and hurts.
After all the treatments, there was no shower to wash off the large amount of oil on the body from the oil massage, but they just wiped it off with a simple or wet towel, so when I leave the shop, my body was sticky. It was uncomfortable.
Finally, the staff frequently left their seats during the treatment and did not come back. I think staff was preparing the next tool or something, but it was too frequent and too time consuming. Therefore, the time to receive the treatment was much shorter than the time actually requested.
The price was reasonable for the time of massage, and the staff worked hard, but it was a shop that I do not want...
Read moreWatch out, they buy their 5-star ratings (the last year). Click the profiles that have written them and they are all "restricted". It used to be a good hotel, but after switching owners it has now become a scam trap.
First of all, this hotel is 100% a scam. Do not book here. The receptionist and the owner is so rude when handling their scam of giving us rooms that did not match the pictures. The rooms were smaller, older, in overall worse condition and didnt have windows. Unfortunately we didnt check the one-star reviews at Google Maps first, but I can confirm this true that they are mold and insect infested (they have just painted over it). Again the receptionist and other staff went on a rant about us going back to our country, that they did nothing wrong with scamming us and others, and it was totally fine for them that we were not getting what was promised. They seemed proud to lure their customers and argumented that we were in their country now. I highly doubt, that any of their countrymen would be proud of their scheme.
(Name of current hotel: Ruby Saigon Hotel and Suite. They may switch name in...
