LILLY HOTEL — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

About the room. They are just good and nice. Big, clean, good airco, and bathroom. We stayed at one of the “little houses” were the bathroom is inside (no insects and mosquito are allowed in our bathroom :-)). The hotel is very nicely designed. The location is a little bit outside the center ( quiet and peaceful), but when you rent a motorbike (also near the hotel) the distance is no problem (20 min to center). In the neighborhood of the hotel there are enough restaurants within walking distance, but also a very good local BBQ restaurant such as Sumo BBQ . If you don’t want to walk, the staff can help you to call a taxi . The Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The most of them speak English very well. After an excruciating first night spent in a ridiculously small room at a “3 star” hotel, we were referred by a friend to the Lilly Hotel. Our blessings to that friend.

Although unpretentious in every way, Lilly made us feel relaxed for the remaining three nights of our stay.

The room was roomy, the aircon worked, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a shower that ran hot or cold as required, and everything was spotless.

Lilly has no restaurant or bar, but there are plenty of coffee bars and eateries pretty much on the doorstep, so there was no inconvenience refreshments-wise.

I requested non smoking room and paid for the room. They promised the room is a non smoking room but they gave me a smoking room. They told me that they don’t have any room available. I have asthma and I cannot breathe the smells of the cigarette. They don’t even care. Bad customer service,...
