Minh Thư Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I should have read the recent negative reviews first. Despite confirming that I booked on the booking app, a rude receptionist refused to check me in because she didn't like the discounted rate I received online. She tried to lie to me and say that the app was a scam, when the phone numbers and property contacts through the app listing work and we know that the reservation is legitimate. Perhaps it's the hotel that's the actual scam, because she then turned a placard of posted prices to me where the rooms were significantly more expensive, claiming that this was the "right" price. I would have left without a fuss but I had a moment of panic because the hotel needed a credit card to book and I was concerned that it had been charged. I was visibly upset which made the receptionist's behaviour worse.

If they admit that they lied and should have let me rent the room at the rate I found, and apologize, I will remove this review. But to anyone reading in the meantime, I suggest that you avoid this place for their...

If I could give zero stars on service I would! We were suppose to come to Ho Chi Minh in the afternoon and stay one night at the hotel before leaving the next day, chose the hotel because it was near the airport.
