OYO 975 Trung Nam Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I have stayed at this hotel many, many different times through the years, in fact through at least 3 ownerships. Always the same great service, friendly and helpful staff.||I always stay in the same room whenever I go to Saigon. It is always clean and well made up. It is a budget hotel and one of the few such hotels in Saigon with an elevator, which is very nice if your room is on the 7th or 8th floor.||The location is in District 8 which is very close by city bus line or taxi to District 1, which is Saigon central city, therefore close to many attractions, shopping and the night life that Saigon is famous for.||I like this place because it is quite and allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle for a good night's sleep. Very good. Secure safe and clean. And very reasonable price and very helpful staff and also pretty. The traffic if absolute madness outside. I didnt have the courage to cross it alone. Theres some nice restaurants 5min walk. A big bank if you're broke. District 1 is 10min by taxi. Hotel staff will order a taxi and tell you how much the fare is ... its a bit like uber so all fares and drivers are tracked. Theres a nice tea and coffe joint next door on the foot path they Cant speak a drop of English but...

My impression was that the room was clean and pretty well-furnished. I like the room. However, the staff and policy really brought me down. We, 2 of us, stayed in the hotel for 1 night. The banner read the price was 200 but we were asked for 250 with no reason. Second, the receptionist was an rude old man. In the morning, we checked out at 12:10PM.
