Tu and his wife were so welcoming to us into their home šŸ  we had a fantastic stay despite the weather not being in our favour!

Tu was very accommodating to the fact that our bus would be arriving at 3am and he still happily greeted us and made sure our bed was lovely and warm (by turning on the electric heated mattress) before we got in as it gets really cold at night.

The house is absolutely beautiful and traditional Vietnamese style house which Tu built during COVID with brother. Our room was slightly small but very comfortable and clean. A kettle was provided in our room, small table and chairs, clothes hanger and filtered water was accessible just outside the room. There is only one shared bathroom downstairs for the whole home however this didn’t seem to be an issue with occupancy. The shower was as good as it was going to get (I don’t think there is ever a good working shower in the whole of Vietnam), for where you are especially it is quite a luxury.

In terms of local amenities there is a short walk through the village where there are a few cafes, restaurants and tourist gift shops. We didn’t adventure too much as the weather was miserable, but this didn’t matter as we were in such a lovely Homestay.

Breakfasts were absolutely amazing! They really have set the bar high with what we now except in home stays šŸ˜‚ You can have anything you want and you can eat as much as you want ( we were happy to pay extra for the extra dishes we had but Tu refused). If you like crepes you will get 10 with bananas and condensed milk and it is heavenly. Tu also invited us for a small cost to join him, his wife and fellow lodgers for dinner and wow what an experience! Lovely to share traditional food with them and learn different vietnamese cultures and traditions. Both Tu and his wife speak good English and are very good with concentrations :) Tu even tested us to some traditional Vietnamese music using a flute like instrument.

Tu organised for us to have a moped/scooter. for our stay which we really appreciated as we were able to explore a lot more of Sa Pa (20 minutes drive). He even gave us ride to our coach station and helped with translation where needed.

After leaving Tu’s home we realised we left something at his home. We notified him straightaway and he kindly packaged up and put it on a Coach to Tam Coc and was instrumental in putting us in contact with the driver and getting updates on when the arrival of the coach would be.

We are eternally grateful for the love that was shown to us during our stay here and we would highly recommend to anyone visiting...

This was our favorite place we’ve stayed in SE Asia. The hosts are incredibly kind. They made us feel so welcome in their home. They played beautiful music on Hmong instruments and conversed with us during dinner. They have a 2 year old son who is so sweet and will make you feel so welcome. They didn’t try to push purchases of tours or anything on us like we have experienced with other stays. The home was built by the host and his father. It’s beautiful wood work and a beautiful space that they have curated. It feels luxurious. The shower is quality. The entire space is so clean. The bed and room were very comfortable. The internet worked well. The breakfast is free and plentiful. The dinners are delicious. They have vegan/vegetarian options. Best of all the view is like nothing we had seen before. We walked through the town and decided we truly had the best view from their space. It’s nice to be in the valley and experience the grand mountains surrounding you. There are two waterfalls we could see from our room window. There are animals about-dogs, water buffalo, chickens, etc. There is a small village nearby and further up the mountain that is a short walking distance where you can buy wears and food and experience the local community. I couldn’t recommend joining more in their space more if I tried. Visit this property and spend a few days experiencing the incredible space that these lovely people have created. It will be the highlight of your...

If you want to chill out surrounded by mountains around you this is the homestay for you. I first just booked for two days just to get a bug check but I extended it another 2 days because the homestay is really clean and the views were spot on you even see two mini waterfalls from the deck which has one hammock. Rooms are simple but clean had a kettle and there is free water around. No fridge in room. The bathroom is downstairs and the rooms are upstairs. I a solo female payed 1500 vind for 4 night stay 4 nights of dinner and two way taxi two and from the homestay. I was balling on a budget so I did not do tracking I just walked around the homestay myself and explored the area which was stunning. Btw I stayed with them in the end of July so that might effect the scenery. I am rambling but the homestay is quite other than the kids playing around which I enjoy. The couple did push any activities and we're pretty quiet I asked if I could help with dinner and they let me but other than that it wasn't like a full hands on homestay get to know their lifestyle thing but I enjoyed my quiet...
