There are places you visit. And then there are places that stay with you, long after you’ve left. HueNam Residence is one of those rare places. We’ve stayed here twice and I know in my heart, it won’t be the last. Each time, it felt less like checking into a homestay, and more like returning to a place that quietly feels like home. 🌳
The first thing that strikes you is the garden not just big, but alive. A wide, green, peaceful space that breathes with the rhythm of the land. Every morning, you wake to birdsong and the scent of earth and leaves. It’s a kind of peace you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you find it. HueNam is about 4 kilometers from the center of Hue. Just far enough to escape the noise, yet close enough to explore the city with ease. But honestly? What makes this location truly special is not the distance, it’s the closeness.✔️
Closeness to the land. To the people. To the culture. We spent a day in Nguyet Bieu village, known for growing Thanh Tra, a local variety of pomelo. It was unlike any fruit I’ve ever tasted fresh, slightly tart, subtly sweet, and deeply fragrant. You can taste the care in every bite, the kind that only comes from a place with generations of tradition.👏
There are certainly fancier places to stay in Hue. More polished, more luxurious. But what HueNam offers is something far rarer authenticity. Real human warmth. The quiet beauty of everyday life. Here, you're not just observing local life from a distance. You're part of it, even just for a while. And then, there's the house itself. It's not simply beautiful, it’s meaningful. Steeped in history, carefully preserved, with stories built into its walls and wooden beams. Every corner feels intentional. You can feel the respect for the past here. It’s not just a building. It’s a living memory.✨
If you’re looking for something real not curated, not filtered but real and full of soul, HueNam is a treasure. We came for a place to stay. We left with stories, feelings, and a deep sense of connection. And that, to me, is the best kind of travel ☘️
Finally, thanks heaps for Anh Lâm, Chị Huyền and all...
