Mandarin Coffee & Restaurant — Restaurant in Hue City

It might be a good coffee but today for me, it was a very bad restaurant. For an expansive price (120k VND) I have a poor set made of tasteless boiled vegetables, a small plate of cold too salted pork and a “shrimp & white gourds soup” that wasn’t bad but with a single tiny still in the shell shrimp inside. All that took almost 1 hour to be delivered. When I tried to change the vegetables and reheat the pork they just gave the plate a small travel and bring it back as cold as before, telling me that I should mix the vegetables with a sauce that was their but that wasn’t tasting good at all in my opinion. I almost forgot to mention that when you’re alone like I was the set is made not of two main dishes like it is for every other amount of guests (2,3,4…) but only one, for the same prize. This place is absolutely gorgeous. We walked in randomly for lunch after having coffee nearby and were shocked by the pretty sanctuary offered by the koi pond + garden. The strong fans meant that you are free to watch the koi for an entire afternoon without mosquitos bothering you. The owners even gave me a tour of the historic fruit trees. They were so friendly that we decided to book a room for a quick nap just as an excuse to hang out for longer.

Do note there is a bit of a language barrier with some of the staff members but everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Also, they don’t have a lot of the items listed on the menu, so be prepared to make...

This is a beautiful traditional garden coffee place. The traditional lunch tray food was a good choice. The manager speak good English. The server Nhu Anh doesn't speak English but we manage to use Google translate and she got my order correctly. The meal comes with 5 different dishes and rice. I also had two tea and water for drink. I think the price is reasonable. You will not regret visit this place especially when you want to see real Hue site. Close to other attractions such as Thiên Mụ pagoda and An Vien...
