My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 9-night stay at Villa Le Corail in a Deluxe One-Bedroom Pool Villa, booked through Luxury Escapes to celebrate our anniversary. The Pool Villa was a true haven as it was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and we particularly appreciated that the private pool was large enough to actually swim laps comfortably. Getting around the resort was effortless. Calling for the buggy service using the inhouse butler service on Whatsapp was simple, and they consistently arrived within just a few minutes, making trips to the lobby, great private beach (where it is calm enough to use the kayaks provided by the resort, which was a real highlight of our stay there, highly recommended!), or restaurants very convenient. The breakfast buffet was a daily highlight. It was well-appointed, and offered fantastic variety of fresh salads, hot foods and even select à la carte dishes to elevate it further – the freshly made churros were a particular treat! The quality and quantity were so good that we often skipped lunch, which was perfect. Our Luxury Escapes package included meal vouchers usable at any of the three restaurants, each offereing a distinct and enjoyable experience. We encountered many genuinely warm and attentive staff members. A special shout-out to the hard-working restaurant managers at the buffet, and the coffee attendant who remembered our preferences and made absolutely perfect Vietnamese coffees every morning – a delightful personal touch. There were however, a few aspects that detracted slightly from the seamless luxury expected: The stacked villa design (two villas per structure) was our main functional disappointment. Being in a lower villa meant significantly reduced privacy for the pool area. Guests staying above could easily look down onto our pool and deck from their balcony. For a private pool villa setting, this lack of seclusion was surprising. Luckily our parents were staying in the room on the top floor so it wasn't as a big deal as it could have been. Stingy & Baffling Water Policy: The limit of 4 hotel filtered water bottles per villa per day was genuinely shocking and felt incredibly stingy for a luxury resort, especially in a location where tap water isn't safe. Being told "no" when requesting additional basic drinking water (and having to buy our own) was a first in our luxury travel experience and frankly, unacceptable at this level. This policy needs urgent review. We experienced a few noticeable service lapses: A server at the pancake station insisted we take pre-made cold pancakes instead of preparing a fresh one upon request. A bar tender forgor to clarify our package inclusions before serving. This resulted in us receiving a standard drink instead of being offered the wider selection available under Luxury Escapes, requiring clarification afterwards. Overall, it was a luxurious and comfortable experience with some truly standout elements, though a few service aspects...
Read moreI stayed at Gran Meliá last month, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my travels. For me, the hotel is not simply a place to rest — it is the essence of the journey itself. The atmosphere, comfort, and beauty of a space define the meaning of travel, and Gran Meliá embodied all of that and more.
Nha Trang offers an impressive number of beautiful resorts, each with its own charm. I spent quite some time comparing them before deciding where to stay. I originally booked another resort I had fond memories of from last year, but after discovering Gran Meliá, I instantly fell in love. I changed my reservation and adjusted my plans to stay for three nights — and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made.
Although I faced a few issues during the online booking process, the staff’s prompt responses and attentive follow-up quickly resolved everything, leaving me more excited for my upcoming stay.
From the moment I arrived, Gran Meliá exceeded every expectation. Its location is convenient — only about ten minutes from the city center — yet it feels like a serene escape. While waiting for check-in, I could already enjoy the pool area nearby. The pool, though not large, perfectly harmonized with the surrounding architecture and ocean view, creating an atmosphere of quiet luxury.
I stayed in the Lush Pool Villa, and the buggy ride to the villa felt like wandering through a Mediterranean village. The path, lined with frangipani trees and soft light, created a tranquil beauty that set the tone for the entire stay. The villa itself was elegant and modern — an inviting sanctuary that balances refined design with comfort.
It was the rainy season, so it rained almost every day, but that brought its own charm. I couldn’t fully enjoy the main pool, yet I loved spending time in the resort’s onsen. Sitting in the warm water, watching the sea through the rain, was a moment of pure calm. When the sun returned, I read by the cabana, sipped a sweet mocktail, and simply enjoyed the sunshine. Those small, unhurried moments captured everything I look for in a resort — serenity, beauty, and freedom from the ordinary.
Every staff member I encountered — from the buggy drivers to the restaurant hosts, pool attendants, and reception team — welcomed me with warmth and sincerity. Their smiles and genuine hospitality made my stay feel truly personal. It never felt like formality; it felt like being cared for.
Gran Meliá is a place that stays with you — not only for its design and scenery, but for the people who make it special. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a refined yet soulful retreat in Nha Trang, and I truly hope to...
Read moreI recently stayed at your hotel and wanted to share my feedback.
Overall, I was very pleased with the facilities — they were excellent, and I would genuinely consider staying again. However, there were several issues during my stay that I feel should be addressed.
At check-in around 3:20 PM, I was told that I could receive an upgrade to a room one floor below my original room, but it would take about 30-40 minutes to prepare. I agreed and waited in my originally assigned room on the upper floor. However, during this time, a staff member opened the door without knocking and asked if I was the guest moving to another building. When I said I was not, they left without further clarification.
After some time passed, I called the front desk and was simply told that a room in another building was now ready. Although I agreed to move, I made it clear that I was unhappy with how the situation was handled. When I asked why the room was now in a different building rather than the one floor below, I was only told that the original room was unoccupied, without any further explanation.
Later, around 4:30 PM, while swimming in the room’s private pool, there was loud construction noise. I believe this kind of disturbance should be communicated in advance. The noise continued throughout the stay, and on the final day, there was even construction taking place on the main beach. This was not announced ahead of time, and I had to leave the area due to the disturbance.
Furthermore, during check-in, I was not provided with a proper explanation of the services or benefits available to guests. In my experience, resorts typically inform guests about amenities and service options upon arrival. Instead, I was simply handed a map and a pamphlet and told to call if I needed a buggy. The only detailed information I received was about the additional cost for a room upgrade.
That said, I would like to express my appreciation for the buggy staff, especially a staff member named Sugar, who was particularly kind and helpful. Thanks to them, I would still consider returning in the future.
However, there were too many moments of confusion and lack of communication that significantly impacted my experience. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve future guest...
