My family had 5 day vacation at this great resort. Not much information was available, so I had some difficulty making decision about which resort/hotel to choose. So I hope my review will help those who are in the same shoes that I was before. (In appreciation of hospitality the resort had shown me during my stay, I am spending some time to write a thorough review.)
The facility is very clean and well managed. I am evaluating this part in comparison to world class 5 star hotels. No, it doesn't have all the facility that 5 star hotels have. However, Hoan My resort does a great job in keeping its facility clean and neat. For example, they ensure the pool water stay very clean. we used the pool for 5 days straight, and I don't think I saw anything in the water that bothered me. Those who travel to resorts often would know that it's very difficult to keep the pool water as clean as they do here - it requires a lot of manpower.
The room is very clean, and the housekeeping department will do their best to keep you happy.
Various room styles are very convenient for those who come for family vacation. We stayed in two bedroom - it was great.
Hospitality of the staff is also very impressive. I don't think I had a moment of dissatisfaction in regards to how the staff interacted with me during the 5 days. They were more than willing to help on the things you ask for.
The location is good if you are looking to stay right in front of the beach. My children had a good time in the sand after sunset, and it's a private beach. Meanwhile, if you are looking for most of your activities in the city area, keep in mind that it will cost you from 80k on grab taxi ride. I went to Winmart in Vincom everyday, and the resort to vincom is about 40k ride. With this information, you'd get an idea about transportation cost.
The only room for improvement is food. The breakfast buffet is quite good, but the kitchen closes after breakfast. So practically there is no kitchen after breakfast - meaning there is no poolside bar you could order food and drink, no room service with f&b. (There is a restaurant right next to the resort, but it's not a typical resort kitchen you order room services from)
Will i return to this resort? YES. Do i recommend this resort to other travelers? YES.
I hope next time there would be F&B ready so I don't have to order grab food (they weren't very good despite several attempts from various...
Read moreWe were on half business trip half enjoyment 3 days here in superior room, in the west wing. Nice and spacious room but slightly minimalist - no closet no commode for your clothes. 5 hangers for 2 persons ! Room is clean and nice though with a small ocean view. After exploring the coast a few days, we came back here for location convenience to Hoan My for another 3 days. We chose to upgrade to a suite ocean view : nice but face to the boiling sun = impossible to enjoy a coffee in the balcony with gorgeous view. |We asked to change room : 1st NO, then 2nd YES, because we met Miss Liên, Executive customer care, we talked and without asking, we were upgraded to a villa near the pool. |Very nice ! But woke up at 7am by drilling works, or kids shouting from 6:30 am in the pool were a surprise ! Still we appreciate the gesture of Ms Liên.|DAY Staff front desk was helpful and nice. Night staff welcome guest must be improved ! We reached hotel at 10:05 pm, tired and starving. Welcome said : Kitchen is closed at 10pm .no food, no room service, no snacks. We found & ordered by ourselves pizza to deliver from nearby. The night manager should have done this, being from the area ! We Enjoying pizzas & wine on our laps because no table in the balcony.|Overall, it is a nice & new resort, the RESTAURANT GIO is excellent. We had lunch and dinners here a few times. Breakfast buffet very good. Location is perfect.|However if you aspire to a relaxing and quiet stay, do ask the hotel because the resort hosts a lot of external local events, big crowd party WITHOUT informing the guests, surprised by every noises ! Hope the management appreciate this genuine comment. We will recommend and will come...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of staying at a resort where the Front Office department's service was far below the standard one would expect from such an establishment. Despite the beautiful surroundings and impressive amenities, the lack of competent service from the Front Office team significantly marred our holiday experience.
Throughout our stay, the Front office department demonstrated a lack of professionalism and efficiency. Requests made for basic services such as type of room, basic service fee.... Moreover, the staff displayed a clear lack of training, often seeming confused or uninformed about basic resort information and services.
Like a drop of water overflowing from a glass, I requested a straightforward invoice for my total bill at checkout. Despite only asking for a basic invoice, not a tax or red invoice, my request was rudely rejected by an individual named Trinh, who redirected me to Agoda, the platform through which I made the booking.
She confidently stated that if all reservations are booked online and not directly at the resort, the resort will not be responsible for providing invoices to guests .I was intrigued. Does this mean that all reservations booked online will not generate income? Also, will the resort not clear government taxes for it?
It's unfortunate to say that while the resort itself had potential to offer a fantastic vacation, the poor service from the FO department overshadowed the positives. I hope the resort management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving their staff training and customer service. Until then, I would hesitate to recommend this...
