Best homestay we did in Vietnam! Arrived, saw the breath taking view to the river and immediately decided to stay one night longer. ||The people here are so friendly and will help you with anything! They provided transfers for as to and from Dong Hoi. They booked a tour for us (the jungle trekking with visits to Golden Cave and E-Cave, which was nice but definitely not for the faint of hearted :D) and even did our laundry (two times because our clothes were very dirty from hiking through the jungle). ||The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. They are also spacious. We especially enjoyed the riverfront room, because we had a balcony overlooking the river. You can also swim in the river directly from the homestay, which was a big bonus for us! ||For breakfast they have some meals and drinks, and you can choose one of each. We tried several during our stay and they were all delicious. Location is also very good. You have a lot of nice restaurants and bars in walking distance, or you can just choose to drink and eat at the homestay.||It was a lovely experience for us. So affordable and amazing what you get for the price. 10/10,...
Read moreCharming homestay, with a direct access to the river. I recommend using the slide to get a "wake up" swim in the morning. The atmosphere here is just perfect, nature at its best around you - with a magical scenery.
The rooms are clean, the bathroom is huge and there was always hot water. Make sure you get a room with a window though.
Last but not least, our host, Caroline, was the most amazing host I have encountered so far! She takes really good care of her guest, taking you on day trips, showing you waterfalls you'd never be able to reach on your own. Or making sure you have decent food. She was a gem. Thanks for the amazing stay, highly recommended!
PS: Ho Khanhs homestay is owned by the Vietnamese family who discovered the worlds biggest cave - Soon Dong. They live there and its a unique opportunity...
Read moreI am thoroughly impressed not only with this property, but the amazing young family that own it. They are very kind and accommodating, and quite friendly without being invasive. The husband was able to book everything I needed without any issues, and I never felt pressured to do anything. The rooms and common areas are impeccably clean, and the location along the river is idyllic. You can rent SUP's or he can arrange a kayak rental as well. It is in a prime location, since it is only a short walk to the main road, or a short walk down the street to try other, less visited riverside eateries. I would highly recommend staying here, especially as a relaxing way to recover from any caving excursions (my laundry was done promptly and efficiently). Thank you so much for making my stay here...
