Little Rock Homestay — Hotel in Quảng Bình Province

The location is beautiful on the river but a little outside the Main town. Unfortunately I arrived during a flood and high rain so all the caves were shut and there really wasn’t much else to do. I arrive at 3am and the home stay kindly said they’d collect me. I didn’t realise it would be on a motorbike however as I had 2 suitcases which he had to take first and then come back for me and it was absolutely chucking it down with rain. I would have tried to get a car had I known. The lady did try and sort me out on day trips but unfortunately were cancelled last minute due to floods. The room was lovely and very quiet. I found quite a few ants in the bed and stains on the sheets, also the hot water didn’t work so I had to shower in the room next door which was outside and which hadn’t even been cleaned from previous guests yet. This place is a true gem along the river, offering the best hospitality I’ve experienced in all my travels. The host went above and beyond, noticing that we had missed the early morning departure times for cave tours and quickly arranging a driver so we could join another group. Her kindness and attentiveness made all the difference.

The family is incredibly warm and welcoming. The location is perfect—peaceful and away from the bustle of main street, yet close enough for easy access. She even offered me a bicycle and motorbike for exploring, and when it rained, she had a jacket ready for me. Her thoughtfulness in every detail made the stay unforgettable.

This was an absolute highlight of my Vietnam trip. I can highly highly recommend this homestay. Little Rock is located slightly out of town overlooking a beautiful section of the river - big mountain valley views. Town is walking distance and additionally there are bikes to use and Xuan can arrange a scooter for a great price. |The homestay has jetty which extends into the river, making swimming easy and enjoyable. It really feels like a home away from home. The rooms are spacious, clean & simple - everything you need. |Susan and Dinh are wonderful hosts - always smiling, helpful ad engaging.
