Staff- Best hospitality we ever had! The staff are the kindest people, good English, help you with anything and you get tea with anything in here. We also asked to boil water for ourselves so they just gave us a kettle to our room, very thoughtful! Also the welcome watermelon juice is the best we had! I really cannot explain enough how kind and helpful the staff is.

Location - on the main street with a stunning view!!! It is convenient to get here because busses go through here. The view from the room is the same one that you see from the common area but from a higher point and it is very relaxing to have such stunning view

Food - there are almost no food options around and most tourists we saw came here for their meals. The food is delicious but a bit pricey, but honestly that's the entire area and there are not a lot of other options. But the food is very tasty and fresh, they also make the same dishes differently so you can really see it's with whatever fresh Ingredients they have, breakfast is great!

Cleaness- it is hard to fight with nature and really I saw someone cleaning around here almost every hour. They really do their best to keep this place pleasent.

There is a bug net for the bed and this is very helpful :)

Facilities - This is not something about this specific place but more about all of Pu Luong, but I think it's fair to mention it. You sleep really in nature and that means nature is all around you. So at night you will see a lot of butterflies bugs beetles and some cockroaches among other livings things that are supposed to eat all of them . You sleep in a bungalow-like room so there are some openings for bugs and other creatures to enter. Same goes for the toilets and showers that are outside of the room and take some stairs to get to. This can be inconvenient, but it's part of sleeping in Pu Luong and the same in every homestay. People who look for a luxurious experience should choose to sleep in...

We booked this accommodation based on the very good reviews. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met - we were very disappointed. First of all: the view is stunning and the location is very promising. The accommodation is located right on the street - which, however, also means traffic noise (but this is part of Vietnam). The room was unfortunately very disappointing. I can only speak for the room category we booked (Duplex Balcony), which has its own bathroom. However, it is located on the lower floor and can be reached via a steep staircase. The bathroom also has the only trash can (for toilet waste, as is usual in Vietnam), which is a bit inconvenient. The sleeping area on the upper floor is very narrow and the bed is extremely hard. In addition, it is extremely noisy to the next room (only a small wooden wall through which you can hear everything from the next room, especially snoring at night). You feel like the person in the next room is lying right next to you. The room door should also be oiled; it gets stuck and squeaks quite loudly when you slide it open. The food in the restaurant was OK, but nothing particularly noteworthy. The breakfast, on the other hand, was very disappointing and everything took a bit of time (for example, we didn't get salt until the egg was already cold). Unfortunately, we missed the great and helpful staff that many people mentioned. Instead, everyone seemed a bit unmotivated and bored. Maybe we were just in the wrong room on the wrong day. However, on our longer trip through Vietnam, this was one of the worse accommodations and I would unfortunately not...

Didn’t have the nicest experience here but it was ok. I have to say the staff was pretty friendly, breakfast was pretty good (lots of options) and there was an incredible view from the dining room. However, it’s hard to get any proper sleep in the dorm. It’s right above the kitchen and you can literally see below through the floor, so you either get woken up early morning when they cook breakfast (before 7) or you are kept awake later at night (you can hear everyone talking below). Also, there was some loud machine noise that started around midnight of the nights we were there, possibly coming from the kitchen below (it wasn’t something in the room). You can also hear the cars and motorcycles driving past (all time of the day and as early as 5:30 am). There’s no ac in the dorm and but they do have fans. They don’t have any lockers to store you’re expensive stuff securely. Food was pretty bland and it’s really expensive compared to other places (you can easily walk 5-10min to get to a more affordable & delicious restaurant). Motorcycle rental cost 350 000, found a reputable rental company not far from the inn doing it for 250 000 gas included. Even the buses they sell are overpriced compared to what’s online (ex. 350 00 at the inn vs 290 000 dongs online). The shower head kept falling on the floor and even fell on me a bunch of times while I was showering, they need to fix that. The area was very smoky while we were there (people burning stuff a bit everywhere), ruining the experience. The smell of the smoke gets in the room too cause it’s open to...

Amazing view with the best service possible! Easy to get to unlike many hotels in Pu Luong - it’s right next to the “main road” - but still pretty quiet because the road is really not busy The hosts are the kindest, we had a few free drinks, they gave us tips to go around and managed (after putting lots of effort) to get us a bus to mai chau even though everyone (including locals) told us it’s not possible. They are also very convenient and attentive to your needs in general. The view is incredible, and you can also see it from your room. One thing to be aware, you are close to nature so be ready to be surrounded by insects at night. The beds have a nest to protect you, but you should know that you are not the only guests. That being said, it’s the case for all the other homestays around. Food is around the price of the area, not the cheapest but still fair price and honestly very tasty, you should try it! Finally, this place puts extra effort to decorate and to clean this place. It looks great even without the view and they clean the shared area a few times a day! We really enjoyed our stay here and are grateful for the service we got!

I slept in the dorms. The room is pretty big, has a mattress on the ground, and curtains around for privacy. The stream in the shower was very weak. The included breakfast is delicious. They also give you a bottle of water each day and a new towel. The view on the first floor is amazing, and the place is well decorated and clean. They have a restaurant on the first floor which is very convenient. The price per night is quite expensive for a shared dorm (200k). They also offer tours and renting motorbike. Overall, the value for money is not that good. Edit: I changed to 5 stars because there are bathrooms in the -1 floor, and the stream there is strong. Also, I saw that Pu Luong is pretty expensive in general, and all the options around are even more expensive.

We were a bit lucky staying at the Gateway Inn, but we are glad that we did. The view from the dining room and from the room we had (private room, shared bathroom) was absolutely spectacular! There are some very nice tours available in the vicinity. We really enjoyed the east trek through the local communities; witnessing how things get done around the harvest season. Staff at the Inn are very attentive and kind. They are local folks as well and will try their hardest to serve you. I will say that doe is; their food was quite westernized and some people really enjoyed it. I would rather have more local dishes and traditional dishes. If you want to see the “little SaPa”, consider choosing Pu Luong first!
