Pù Luông Jungle Lodge — Hotel in Thanh Hoá Province

Very poor service. I tried to contact them to change my reservation few times - with no human responding. At the end, they charged my credit card with out providing any services at all. Feels like a scam.

Editing after the place comment: Our request for a refund (even partely) was very clear from the beginning - and again, the resort ignored it. We accidentally made a reservation and reached out to cancel it within five minutes. We were aware that the booking was non-refundable, however, the cancellation request was sent immediately after placing the reservation. The property ignored our request and all follow-up messages sent through the platform. They still charged the full amount (!!!) even though we never stayed there, claiming they did not receive the messages (yet somehow they did receive the payment without any issue).

It’s important for future guests to know how this place handles customer communication. And if the platform they use does not properly relay messages, they should reconsider using it to avoid situations like this in the future.

They only began responding after we left a negative public comment on social media. They even told us they could have issued a refund if they had known earlier — but we did notify them immediately. Yet here we are, still waiting for even a partial refund.

My home… Pu Loung Jungle Lodge I arrived here with a broken ankle. Here I was in a place that felt like a piece of heaven. With angels to take care of me. My stay would be short—two days before I’d be transported to the Hanoi French Hospital. The first challenge was reaching my cabin up a very steep narrow hill. We were reserved to stay in a cabin with many stairs. Quickly they changed our lodging to accommodate my condition. Only a few steps to my room, with a lovely porch right in front of the pool. Meals and ice packs delivered to my room, laundry done in a day, so much tender loving care for me, also supporting my partner. It was not the vacation I had imagined but the memory of this place will stay with me forever. One day we hope to return. Never could I have imagined someone carrying me to put me on the back of a scooter, securely settled as they transported me up the hill to our cabin and then back down again two days later. Everything about this place was perfect, the romantic setting, nestled among the flowers and trees with a few to the horizon up above. Amazing meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. A small refrigerator, king size bed, large bathroom, monogrammed towels with a luxury rustic decor that blended so well with the environment. The stunning view of the surrounding from my window, which made waking up each morning a truly magical experience. The dining area itself was cozy and inviting, offering a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. They also offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner with variety of tasty local foods. You also can experience local shows with traditional songs and dance performance by local people during your dinner time in the weekend. But please make sure you check with the owner for confirming which day they will perform the show.
