Located down a side street just off the main road, this hotel (pet friendly) is definitely suited more towards the Vietnamese tourist/traveller and not foreigners. My air-conditioned room was quite spacious and featured a reasonably uncomfortable hard bed (7 out of 10 on the hardness scale). It also was equipped with a flatscreen TV (Box channels available), a working refrigerator, and modestly furnished (a pair of bedside tables, small desk with chair, set of chairs +table). The room also had a private bathroom, and apart from the mouldy/filthy roof, it was sufficiently clean. The bathroom had a shower in bath set up (yuk...I hate these types of set ups) with a small water heater....so the hot water runs out really quickly, and no exhaust fan (steam builds up causing a lot of uncleaned mould to gather on the ceiling panels....yuk!!). WiFi is free with an OK signal strength. The hotel's reception is located in the undercover garage (suitable for some cars, but mostly motorbikes) and provides an elevator to access the levels. The worst thing about the hotel is the lack of soundproofing and being a place suited for Vietnamese. There is an awful lot of internal, unnecessary (and totally inconsiderate) noise generated. I'm going to call it out for once....the nationals have utterly no concept of consideration for other guests and make so much unnecessary noise (talking/yelling in common areas & hallways and slamming doors) at any hour of the day or night or early hours of the morning. It's a rude attitude of "I'm awake, so I will make as much noise as I want and don't care who will be disturbed by my noise" The hotel has no restaurant, but there are many places to eat on the main street... less than 5 minutes walk. As it's close to a large hospital, there are also many pharmacies, plus convenience stores all very close by. In my opinion, this place is only good for overnight stays if other better places are unavailable. However, it does have a cheap tariff, which is the main reason why I offer a 3...
Read moreThe rooms were fairly clean, and we're quite large. They had nice furnishings that would be ideal for business travelers (desk, chair, small table, and a big wardrobe). Rooms were quite modern too. Bathrooms were large and neat. Large indoor parking area, so you don't have to worry about your bike or car being stolen. Fairly quiet, you're not likely to be disturbed. Can't really go wrong considering the price. Location is close to the restaurants (com Binh dan), convenience stores, and pharmacies in a quiet residential area. You are probably 2-3km away from the city centre, and other attractions in town (lotte center, vincom mall etc). Costs about 90-120k for a bike to the beach, double that for a taxi (12km away from Cua Lo). Google says they are pet friendly, but signs in the hotel say otherwise. They weren't too happy I brought my dog, but they allowed it. Ideal for short term stays (1-3 days), but no kettle or fridge in the room makes an extended stay difficult. Toiletries provided will only last 1-2 days (they would probably restock if I had let them in to clean). Staff were accomodating and polite. Can communicate with them through Google translate, but some speak a little English. Enjoyed my stay. Ideal for budget Travelers headed north or south and just passing...
Read moreThe first time I stayed here, there was a small refrigerator in the room. The second time I stayed here, I booked the same room, and no refrigerator. I spoke with the staff and they wanted me to pay more money for a refrigerator. And there is nothing on the Booking.com room listings showing one room has a refrigerator and another does not. The staff informed me of this after I bought food for the night. Not a good experience, and I was very disappointed in the customer service. I will not...
