We were here a couple of weeks ago booking this place through our hotel in Ho Chi Minh. We went to our room situated on the ground floor and found it to have a foul smell and the toilets didn't look clean. We requested for a change of room and they shifted us to a bigger room upstairs (for an extra charge) but this room was much better. I would definitely recommend you pay extra for the room upstairs as it is much cleaner.||There is a swimming pool which is refreshing after a hot day out. You can also cross the road and walk over to the beach but it seemed a little dirty so we decided not to get in.||Biggest issue we had was while checking out the staff accused us of taking two bottles of water from the mini bar and then replacing them later. This was completely false and we protested and they didn't charge us.||But then they threw a bigger bombshell, they accused us of taking one pair of rubber slippers from the room. We booked a triple room and they said there should be three pairs of slippers. But there was only two when we checked in to the room and I didn't think it was a big deal at the time until they said we took one. in the end sanity prevailed and they accepted that the staff might have not out three pairs in the room.||||So if you decide to stay here please check that the number of rubber slippers match the number of people staying in the room as soon as you check in to avoid the hassle we had to face. I would have given them a higher rating if...
Read moreVery nice resort with just one road crossing to go to the beach. We were here mid September and got the idea that we were the only guests so we had all the pool to ourselves. Breakfast is western, really big, however the choice between of 6 menus looks large, closer look at it showed that these were all mixtures of the same ingredients. At first we gave this a 5-Star rating, until we encountered the service in the restaurant. Smoothies no longer available, all finished, because if the end of the season? How difgiculd can it be to have some fresh mango's in the fridge, streetfood shops can do it? At 9:55 pm we were told that the restaurant was going to be closed, so we ordered one last drink. At 10:00 pm we were asked to leave, because the restaurant was closed and personnel wanted to put off the lights, although quite a few personnel, like guards remaining on the resort. Was there no one else to pit off the lights? If the personnel would learn more than the litteral 5 words, and something about hospitality it would deserve...
Read moreVery dated property, probably used mostly at weekends by Ho Chi Minh'ers.||||There was a kettle in the room but no tea/coffee and the cups were so small they were useless. Fortunately there was a mall within walking distance so we bought some cups and tea bags. We also bought some air freshener because there was a smell about the room as if it had been cleaned with a dirty mop,||||On the night we arrived we used the restaurant, as it was a bit late, but my wife wished we hadn't - the food was o.k. but a large rat appeared at the next table and seemed unconcerned when I threw an empty beer can at it. ............maybe it was a one-off but the staff weren't surprised by it.||||The Wifi's a bit slow, o.k for emails but not good enough for streaming video.||||The staff are helpful but no other redeeming qualities I'm afraid!.||||Next time I think I'll try an Hotel on the west coast...
