Indigo Lodge is located near the city centre and hence was a convenient choice for my family and I as we were attending wedding within the neighbourhood. We got a large room which had one king bed and a three quarters bed and this was convenient as the children could share the smaller bed. Our first impression was that the room looked neat and the bathroom was okay but needed attention. However we had a few concerns especially that the light in the bathroom was not working and most of the windows didn't close properly (this allowed mosquito's into the room and non of the beds had mosquito nets). The bathroom needs a serious facelift and some basic attention such as fixing the lights and a couple of pipe leaks. The room had a fridge, satellite TV and air conditioning. All this for 100 dollars a night. The surroundings were pleasant enough though there isn't much to see as the building has taken up most of the yard.    Read moreA very poor maintained lodge. I would keep this as a last priority in Ndola if have no where else to go.
The price I paid for this shabby room was exorbitant. No standards at all.
Issues - where the owners must focus on
The bathroom doors don't have even a knob to open from inside, you hurt your hand n struggle to open
The mirror in bathroom is so high its meant for 6feet + people, don't know 9
There is a bathtub but you can't use it, no way to hold the water in the tub.
Ceiling damaged, insects in the room as windows can't lock well, creepy noise from the bathroom door
Worst of all is the the Electric Kettle, I wish I could sue the lodge for playing with my health. But fortunately I saw before I could use it (See the pics for yourself)
Reception cum bar staff not happy to assist customers.
Sorry to state this has been my worst stay experience in Zambia...
