Junior Leisure Resort — Hotel in Southern Province

My three brothers and my mom stayed here for three nights Fri-Sun. Booked three separate rooms. 2 rooms with 2 twin beds in each and 1 room with a queen bed. It worked just perfectly for us because 2 brothers shared each room and mom had the queen. It was very hot in Livingstone, as is typical for Livingstone because it's in the valley. The air conditioned rooms were nice relief from the sweltering heat on our return from sight seeing and excursions. Mom's first queen room had a dysfunctional AC unit and wasn't cooling down so we requested a different room a few hours after checking in. The staff were very accommodating regarding the room change. The rates were the least expensive compared to the other surrounding lodges we checked. The breakfast was made fresh to order and the chef made it and served it to us while we served our own cereal and hot beverages. Breakfast is included. But they had a priced menu for lunch or dinner. We ate most of our meals downtown at food palace. Check it out. Great priced T-Bone steaks, fish with Nshima or a varied array of cuisine to choose from. The lodge helped us pick a safari. Receptionist contacted the safari company and arranged for us to be picked up. A covered (canopied) safari caravan came to pick us up. Our guide was wonderful. We did a tour of Livingstone national park and got to see giraffes, Impala, warthogs, elephant. The park has few animals compared to others but it was a great safari. We paid a little extra to have a guided (with armed wildlife officers) walking safari to see rhinos up-close. This was at the end of the regular safari. |Overall this Lodge was a perfect find for us. Small, Simple, Friendly staff and amazing free breakfast. The Wifi not working was the only downside. But we didn't really need it because had so much fun activities. The rates were at a give away price something like $30 per night. You will not find lodging at that price in a tourist city in most countries I...

The Lodge is off the airport road within 20 minutes walk from the CBD. Very neat place with cheerful workers. The staff are always on hand to assist guests and they are very courteous. The rooms are well kept with clean linen and 24/7 supply of water. The hot showers were excellent.

The dining has an extended out door eating area good for private meetings or that time alone with your laptop.

The lodge has a beautiful hall very popular for parties including matrimonial gatherings.
