Edi’s Grill is a “must go to “ restaurant in Berat Albania. The food is straightforward but somehow, it tastes of the love of a father and his family. Meat is cooked over a simple grill. Absolutely delicious! Edi himself is in charge, assisted by his lovely daughter. There is pure honesty in the food and especially in the very strong and very tasteful homemade raki. Every few minutes an order comes into the kitchen by phone and Edi not only cooks it, but then puts on his coat and delivers it personally to a nearby home by motorcycle. Amazing place run by a super nice and kind family! The charcoal grill meat was super delicious. We were a group of 9 adults vsiting from New York City and everyone enjoyed the food so much that we went back the next night for more pork chops and lamb ribs. Make the effort to walk here. It’s only a few hundred metres off the main pedestrian track but the walk is worth it. It’s up to you, you can have a tourist menu at tourist prices or you can have an authentic meal at Albanian prices. We’re so glad we made the effort and we would do it again in the heartbeat.
