Great Waters Tourism — Local services in Puerto Iguazú

We had a mixed experience with Aguas Grande. Our initial transfer to the hotel was great and Marcella was so helpful and informative. She gave us some helpful tips about the park, provided us with a map and let us know about possible trips we could do. We decided to visit the Brazilian side of the falls with Aguas Grande because of our positive experience with Marcella. However, this trip was less well organised. There seemed to be a lot of waiting around for pick ups from hotels and miscommunication. We were advised that the trip was 25US$ per person only to discover during the ttip that it was 50US$ per person. Luckily I took extra cash with me. This also didn't include the cost of entry into the Brazilian national park which we had to pay in addition. It was about 40US$ for two people. Looking at the prices on their website, I feel we may have been taken advantage of. Other people on the trip were also misadvised about a number of things so I don't think it was just us. The border crossing took ages. This is not the fault of the tour company but I would suggest taking a book along with plenty of drinks and snacks. Where do we begin! The service from the agency is by far the best we've experienced during our month long travel in Argentina. That's not saying everywhere else was bad, but the team we had throughout our 3-day excursion was top notch.

We were greeted with charisma and smiles by Macarena (Maca) from the very first morning. From there it got better with her friendliness. Her passion and love for nature and the outdoors will provide you the best experience possible at the falls on either side of the border.

We also used the same agency for our transfers to and from the airports. Ernesto and Martin who were our drivers were friendly and chatty, which put at ease. I can safely say they treat you like friends. What more can you ask for!

I was stranded while waiting at the hotel across the street from this agency when Gray Line no-showed on me. The hotel suggested this agency might help. I walked in and Beatriz told me their tours were gone, but offered out of kindness to help me. She ended up connecting me with a driver named Gustavo Gomez, who was great and much better than Gray Lines would have been. Gustavo took me to both sides and patiently waited.
