When we were looking for our cake maker we wanted to support a small local business that had some non-traditional wedding cake flavours and could cater for dietary requirements. Coming across Evelyn and Frosty Cakes Co was amazing and we were very keen to support her as a self-taught small business owner.

Not only does she have a wide range of unique flavour choices (from the 6 we tried in our tasting session we couldn't narrow it down to one, so we had 2) she also primarily uses butter cream frosting which is what we were wanting since the bride is lactose intolerant. Evelyn was also able to cater for our range of guest dietary requirements (gluten free, coeliac, and vegan) by making individual all intolerance friendly cupcakes :) We also enjoyed the taste testing session (and ability to order more flavour tastings in cupcake form) and ability to come up with a design of a cake (4 tier with alternate tier flavours) that really matched us.

The end result was a beautiful and professional finished cake and we received so many positive comments from guests on the look of the cake (with the floral arrangement done by Evelyn) and taste of both flavours chosen (orange and poppy seed and honey).

We booked Cakes by Evie for our afternoon wedding and couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience. The planning process was seamless — Evie organised a tasting box for us to take home and try together, making it easy to choose our favourite flavours.

For our wedding, we had one tier (White Raspberry) for ourselves to keep and an assortment of cupcakes for our guests. The cupcakes we chose were Strawberry Orange Blossom Cake (fresh and light) and Chocolate Salted Caramel (rich and decadent) — both absolutely delicious! Our guests kept raving about how delicious they were.

Aesthetically the cake tower looked gorgeous, with beautiful colours and care taken with the details.

We also really appreciated that Evie catered for a range of dietary requirements, so everyone could enjoy the treats without missing out.

We highly recommend Cakes by Evie and will definitely be using Evie again for future...

I recently had the delightful opportunity to attend the cakes and floral masterclass by Cakes by Evie, and it exceeded all my expectations. Evie is not only incredibly talented but also a wonderful teacher who made the learning process both fun and accessible. The hands-on experience was invaluable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting!

A standout moment for me was decorating my own cake and getting to take it home. The Thai Milk Tea flavour was a unique and delicious surprise. From the beautiful floral arrangements to the intricate cake designs, every aspect of the class was top-notch.
