Australian Croatian Association — Local services in Barwon South West

I'd give zero stars if I could but unfortunately, Google requires at least 1. I have never been compelled to write a bad review before but after tonight's abysmal service, I have to say something.

We had booked a very special dinner with the in-laws at the Croatia Club and were disappointed that it took half an hour for a server to take an order from us. The entire time, there were other tables being seated and getting their orders taken even though they had come in after us... we felt very unwelcome and forgotten. After a server eventually got to us, it then took an hour and a half of us waiting for our food before my partner had to go and speak with someone and inquire as to why our food was taking so long (again, after new customers were still being served before us). After the server went to check, he came back to inform us that our order had actually been "accidentally deleted" and it had never gone through to the kitchen. Why did nobody bother to check on this after seeing us sitting around and waiting the whole night? We received a superficial apology without any effort to correct the mistake and had no choice but to leave furious, absolutely disgusted and most importantly, hungry. We are never coming here again and you should be ashamed of yourselves and the way you treat your customers. It makes me wonder if only actual members of the Croatia Club get treated with decent respect...

So I went there for the first time tonight properly and had a sitdown meal with my Lady we tried some of their traditional Croatian food. I pretty much left with having to undo my belt.
