Well the markets are very 'low key', in terms of layout & general impressions. However you are in for a pleasant surprise as the produce is very fresh & tasty. At first I thought this is nothing special but the pumpkins, carrots & tomatoes I took home were awesome. A friend - who is also a nutritionist - commented on the flavours of the vegetables. The areas surrounding spearwood were once primarily market growing areas but sadly the the urban sprawl is diminishing this wonderful growing area. Vegetables very fresh and cheap and have a good variety. Can buy fresh chives bean sprouts and different types of tofu, egg noodles kimchi rice cake etc. Fruits usually very fresh with reasonable price. The grocery parts offers all different types of aisan snacks noodles instant noodles Asian sauces spices, dried shiitake mushroom kelp tofu skin dried black fungus aka woodear. Fridge section has lots of choices for your hot pot, has dumplings and frozen Asian vegetable like lotus root and taro. Loooooove this place. There are plenty of fresh cheap vegetables and fruits ( highly recommend to go on sunday afternoon as they will mark the price down). They also sell dry stuff i.e. spices, chinese dried herb( expands once you put in water) for soup, Asian snacks.

Loads of frozen products ie. Dumplings etc.

Furthermore, they do have a little cool room where you can ourchase meat products.
