I loved coming to this place a few years ago but when I came up to visit family I was greeted with new owners, the new rules confused me really and I witnessed one of the owners staring at a group of kids eating rather than watching over the kids in the pool. Not to mention the signs that stated being on your phone was a distraction when they were playing music, in my case and many other people's music can be more distracting than being on a phone. I had to take my attention off my young child when I overheard the owners on the speaker getting up children for being in a empty swimming lane and leaning on the lane rope, I would have understood the kids getting in trouble for being in a lane that was being used but one of the kids was using the lane rope for support as she couldn't reach the bottom of the pool. You aren't allowed to dive in the pool but I have been informed that students of the owners are allowed to dive during classes, I was told that we were not allowed to dive as the pool was too shallow so why were the swim students permitted to dive if it is dangerous to dive and why was only public pool in blackall turned into a swim school I live in Brisbane and normally swim schools are not open to the public. I understand a public pool have swimming lessons and having swim instructors but if you are going to call it a swim school I would suggest closing the pool and getting the concrete in the deeper end of the pool lowered so your students do not injure themselves and other people can dive into the pool. Although the prices are great I hate that the new owners do not sell hot food and only sell lollies, my kids were hungry so we had to leave the pool and get hot chips from the local gas station. I would normally recommend this pool but I am highly disappointed with the new owners who seem to care more about the pool and their swim students then they do about anyone else using the pool. If the owners are reading this I hope they can reply with a genuine reason to why they were watching my children eat, my 16 year old daughter was extremely...
Read moreThis is the best kept secret in Blackall to both exercise and relax at the same time. The immaculate clean waters of the pools and amenities were the best l have encountered anywhere in Australia. The Olympic pool was a gorgeous 26oC and most welcomed on a very warm day, passing through this week. The spa was wonderful at 32oC, not too hot to enjoy its warmth. The little pool at 36oC was too hot for my liking, so l spent the least time in it! The pool manager was very welcoming and accepted my card payt for entry fee as l had spent all my coins on laundromats. Loved this beautiful space in Blackall, a credit to the town and for passing travellers, for sure! Much...
Read moreI’ve been stuck in Blackall due to floods and discovered this amazing oasis on my second day! What a fabulous place, a 50mtr pool that was just perfect to have a good swim and stretch out all those muscles. Then into the 2 spas, I was in heaven after 10 days of dirt, dust and then rain and mud to contend with. These beautiful clean artesian thermal spas, I can’t recommend them enough, $2 entry and when you leave $3 for a homemade icecream in a cone! Best $5 I’ve spent daily on my whole trip thus far. The managers/owners are lovely also. Great place to relax and unwind, I’ve been back daily, I leave tomorrow and I’ll miss this little oasis in the middle...
