The Houghton Highway Bridge, I have missed stated its name as the “Hornibrook Bridge” (it was via gps anyways) is your gateway to the Redcliffe Peninsula. Now with two bridges one in and one out both with multiple lanes but with the newest bridge with far more on offer.
Why so? 2nd Bridge (is way out to the South) It has, footpath and bike riders access fishing platforms for the fisherman Higher and better views and safer when it comes to high tide.
1st Bridge (way in to the North Redcliffe Peninsula) It has none of the above and it’s much lower.
This two Bridges has an original Wooden Bridge which has been pulled down due to its old age and was considered dangerous for anyone going on it. It’s made its own popularity and history on its own.
The old Wooden Bridge was then replaced but shortened for tourists and as a fishing platform.
