This area is really quite beautiful but this time of the year it is just too busy! We took our Labrador with us so he could have a run with the other pups and have a dip in then ocean water. It was so busy that we parked a 3km walk away but it was worth it to be in the sunshine. When we got to the off leash dog park we let our boy off so he could have a run with the other dogs and a play. He found a dog to play with but this other dog didn't want to play, he bit my dog on the back and mouth, my boy was bleeding from the mouth and had fur missing. The owner quickly came and helped, apologised and took her dog home, the other owners were very kind and helpful, we left and went to the water for a wee swim and to rinse his mouth out. Thankfully he was and is ok, and we won't stop going on adventures, I just think Decker Park is a little too busy at times and the animals get too excited, lovely place when quiet.

At the very north of the sandgate stretch of Moreton Bay. Plenty of parking. Clean toilets. Facilities for BBQ and parks are nice and clean. The view out to the bay is great and the northern mountains look great on a clear day. There's plenty of room for everyone. Good spot for a barbie. It is close to the bridge across to Redcliffe, but traffic wasn't noisy. The price you pay for all the goodies as well as convenience.

Decker Park is an excellent public park ideally located at 18 Twenty Fifth Ave,Brighton QLD 4017.

One of many great places that are ideally located along the Redcliffe Peninsular and Sandgate foreshore.

Decker Park has adequate hardstand carparking available within easy walking distance from the public cycling/walking trails that go along the foreshore.

There is some street parking available during busy periods.

This parking area has friendly wheelchair access to Decker Park is on a flat ground level which makes it easy for people with disabilities.

Decker Park has a good range of facilities when visiting you can enjoy playing Basketball Court, it also has a half court for netball which is an added bonus for everyone.

There is a modern playground for children to enjoy swings and slides.

Decker Park is a wonderful place for children's birthday parties 🥳 🎉 with plenty of green space and the beach side is another great addition to cater to family-friendly activities.

The council has provided an excellent public park which is definitely worth stopping by just to get there for a walk or cycle along the well marked walkways.

There is great signage that provides enough general information of what is onsite or in other areas of the local landscape.

Finally, if people are looking for something different to do while visiting this magnificent area of Brisbane then why not spend time at...

I love Decker Park. A fantastic spot for family picnics, leisurely walks, fitness, dogs, games, etc, being SADLY TRASHED by visitors. My main gripe is waste management! Not enough bins, and folks really don’t know how to clean up after themselves or sort their rubbish for recycling. The recycling bin was filled with soft plastic bags and food scraps, the landfill bin had heaps of recyclables in it! In 10 minutes I picked up a bucket full of waste that was littering the foreshore area (plastic forks, food scraps, lunch wrappers, balloons, candy wrappers, straws, drink popper plastic sleeves, lollipop sticks, plastic cups, drink containers, styrofoam) The ibises were scavenging from overflowing bins, with lids left open, causing more mess. 😡 So disappointed by the litter! Use it, don’t abuse it!! Teach your kids to put their rubbish in the bin, not leave it on...
