Jason's Quality Meats — Local services in Brisbane City

Jason is known for his sausages and his customer service. His sausages are very nice and having tried other meat on display it is of good quality. My only concern is regarding the prices. Not the price rather that prices are not displayed. Makes it a little difficult to judge how much to buy. The other part is the receipt does not list items or cost so again makes it a little hard to understand what has been charged for what. Jason is a lovely person but would recommend he consider display of prices on the meat in window and inside display plus provision of a receipt with costs included. If the prices are displayed on wall Please forgive as I did not see them and sometimes have trouble looking up or turning my head (vertigo). What I purchased last time I was in was very nice. I’m the only meat eater at home, so meat is an occasional treat for me. I can safely say that I’ve never had a better steak than their Bass Strait rib eye. Everything I’ve bought from here (beef, pork, lamb; even chicken, both seasoned and unseasoned) has a naturally grassy, earthy, sweet flavour that I can’t accurately describe, but I know that it sends positive signals to my brain and puts a smile on my face. As someone trying to be an ethical meat-eater, it’s a bonus that free range also just tastes better. Love getting a few different things and sampling them. This butcher has seriously made me realise that supermarket meat is tasteless...

I saw the advert in the Sandgate guide stating the traditional beef sausages (add recently changed, didn't win traditional beef for 2025) were the first prize winner of JQM for Queensland.

I decided to get 2KGs only to be disappointed by the flavour, very very rich. Not like any other sausage I've ever tasted, I was expecting something "traditional" like a Bunnings snag. I could eat one, if that. It was unfortunate and I probably should've only got 1KG instead of 2KG. 2KG set me back $52 approx. I wouldn't return and I'll try the place down at Sandgate near Aldi or the butcher near the Friendly Grocer....
