Very disappoint experience today, after buying the grape,3 kids want ice cream then we came to ice cream, despite being the only customers at the time, the staff member initially walked away when she saw us, and we had to wait.
When she returned, we were able to sample the ice cream, and the kids made their selections. However, when I requested three "Beetbox" ice creams, she only gave us one and started serving other customers. I asked if she could complete our order first, but she replied she needed to prepare cones for others before finishing ours.
I believe it would have been more efficient and courteous to complete our order first before attending to new customers, especially since we had been waiting for some time.
Overall, I’ve been buying grapes from this shop for several years, but I’ve always felt that they’re not very friendly toward Asians. They are polite and greet white customers, but with Asian customers, it feels different. Grapes and ice cream can be found anywhere, but I go to the vineyard for two reasons: one is to take my kids and enjoy the surroundings, and the other is to support local small businesses. However, this experience has been very disappointing, and it makes me feel that there’s no need to support them anymore, as they...
Read moreWe have been coming to Katos for years and the grapes are always really nice. What I don't understand is the two line system here. One line is for up to 4kg, then the other is 5kg or more. The line for 4kg and less was very long and I understand everyone had been waiting a while in that line, but as somebody who was buying 5kg I waited in the other line.
I understand it is a hot busy day and the lady serving this line could be having a tough time but she told us we would have to wait because the other line is longer. The other lady who served us was super nice and offered free bunch of grapes to our daughter. She probably understands the line system.
Why is there even 2 lines? There should just be 1 line if you will just keep serving the longest line? It causes confusion and the people in the other line are unhappy that people are skipping the line to buy...
Read moreEvery year we go to Kato's 3000(except last year I think they closed) to buy some autumn crisp grapes. This year is very disappointed by their service. I drove 30 min and lined up for about 15 mins, when is my turn the young girl who serve me give me the bottom bits of the autumn crisp, they are soft, small in sizes and looks like have been in the fridge for quite some time. It is not crunchy anymore. I did say to the young girl can you pick from the other tray that looks better and she said to me "no, you can only get these(the bottom bit) spent $40 dollar for 4 kg not crunchy autumn crisp grape. I rather just go tp woolworths to save my time and money. Extremely...
