Be very careful, what you see is not what you get! We ordered a dishwasher & oven from the appliance guy’s official website (rebrand of stove doctor) & paid nearly $1900 online inclusive of delivery & installation. Then the next day we received a phone call asking us to pay another $70 before they could “confirm the order”. At no point in the online process were we alerted of the fact that what we paid was not the actual/full price. In fact every step of the way we were assured of the so-called “best price guarantee”. Even worse, after we said we were prepared to pay the extra $70 and asked if that was the final price, we were told “the technician may need to charge other additional fees once on site”... When we pointed out there were no such fees throughout the online ordering process, they then sent us a screenshot of a list of “Installation exclusions”, with some of the fees as high as $300-400! Upon careful checking, we found these “exclusions” were listed at the very bottom of the product page, but the customer is not alerted of such exclusions at all when click “add to cart”, no checkbox, no link, no pop-up, nothing, no even when the customer chooses the installation option! In the end, because we threatened to take them to the fairtrade, they agreed to refund our money, but not before they wasted a week of our time & caused such nuisance. We ended up buying the same items from other suppliers which were slightly more expensive but were totally upfront with the fees involved, which is the very least one can expect from any reputable online merchant! We strongly caution against buying from the...
Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND. I purchased a KARDI KAC60YL cooktop from Stove Doc in September 2020, including their professional installation. The invoice clearly stated a 5-year parts warranty.
Fast forward to August 2025—just one month before the warranty expired—the cooktop stopped working. I contacted Stove Doc for repairs, but instead of helping me directly, they passed my request to The Appliance Guys, a third-party service I never agreed to deal with.
The Appliance Guys then denied my warranty claim, saying the product "wasn’t registered." Here’s the problem: Nowhere in Stove Doc’s original terms did it say registration was required. Why is a company I didn’t buy from dictating my warranty? My receipt and payment records should be enough. When I asked Stove Doc to explain, they completely ignored me.
This is shady, unethical business behavior: Stove Doc refuses to honor their written warranty. They delegate responsibility to a third party without customer consent. Both companies hide behind excuses instead of fixing the problem.
Buyer beware! If you expect reliable service or warranty support, look elsewhere. These companies will find any excuse to avoid...
Read moreHighly do not recommend using Stove Doctor. The most useless service I have ever encountered from any company, ever.
These guys took over a month to schedule a repair of my dishwasher. We run a business and are unable to be around the house 24/7 waiting for a technician to show up. When Stove Doctor finally locked the repair appointment in, it was on their terms - telling us that the technician would arrive on date X at time Y with no room for negotiation.
If you do try to negotiate and speak to the Stove Doctor telephone agent's boss, they kindly mention that their boss is not available to speak too...
On the date the technician was finally meant to show up, they cancelled,...
