Family trip from Sydney to Melbourne, 2 hours into the journey at 5am in the morning I put unleaded into a diesel 2024 Kia Sorento GT line. This occurred at The Big Merino, Goulburn. After frantic calls to numerous companies, Mark the technician from Sydney Fuel Assist took my first call at 5:30am and from the beginning he listened and analysed the information I had given him, gave me advice and was honest on his ability to make it to my location. Initially, I opted to use another company as they stated they could make it earlier then Sydney Fuel assist and would contact me at 7am to confirm. 7:30am has arrived and no contact from the other company I had paid my $100 deposit to. They informed me at 7:40am they do not service the Goulburn area, 2 hours of time wasted waiting. At this time I returned the call to Sydney Fuel Assist, Mark the technician fully disclosed the price and was clear that he was on another job in Cronulla then would come to my location, in Goulburn. No deposit was required - a gentleman’s agreement, arrangements that are rare in the modern day. Sydney Fuel Assists Technician Mark Arrived on site at 11am as stated, drained my fuel tank safely, hassle free with not one spillage and ensured the engine was mechanically sound to continue on the journey to Melbourne. The car was fine and the only thing hurting was my ego, which Mark insisted we are all human beings that make mistakes.

Mark was the ultimate professional having me back on the road within half an hour of his arrival.

Everybody says, it was my first time, and this was my first time. After very busy and exhausting day at work I just wasn’t focused enough and at the servo at Yagoona, I put 98 petrol in diesel vehicle. Didn’t realise till car started loosing power, a few hundred meters down the road. Road assistance were busy and didn’t come even after 2 hrs being stranded on the busy Sydney highway.
