Due to what we were told was an overbooking, our party was not given a proper area and was instead placed in a corner with minimal space and attention.

This decision not only impacted the atmosphere of the party, but also left us feeling like an afterthought on what should have been a special day for our child and our guests. There was no communication leading up to the event about any changes or compromises, and on the day, the situation was handled with a lack of empathy or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. I was there over 40 minutes early and yet was still unable to have these issue addressed. The front desk staff failed to tell me anything other than, "its reserved, go look for your name". They didn't give me the wrist bands, socks or anything upon arrival. It wasn't until I had to come back down after speaking with 3 separate employees.

What is most disappointing is the clear lack of understanding of how important this occasion was — particularly to a young child. We trusted your venue to help us celebrate a milestone, and that trust was let down. We also felt embarrassed in front of our guests, many of whom commented on the cramped conditions, disorganisation and extremly poor customer service. I would not reccomend having a birthday party here. Since checkin, it was extremely unorganised. We were told to go to room 2, but the rooms were not numbered and nobody escorted us, so we picked one and hoped it was ours. Our "party host" was mostly absent, did not introduce themselves, and had VERY little interaction with the birthday girl and guests. I had to prompt the "party host" for wristbands, and again for socks. I was cleaning up water spills, and the host gave me a few napkins - did not offer help and left the water on the floor so I covered it with a chair to prevent slipping. Food was great, facilities were great, customer service was awful and I feel that the price you pay, does not reflect the experience you have. During the cake time, the "party host" told the children to be quiet or there'd be no cake. The "party host" spent most of the time standing in the corner of the room staring into space. I did most of the cleanup after the children ate....

So if your kids want to do the climbing wall... don't get there after 2pm!! One of the boys (9yrs old) I took lined up for ages to get a harness,(1 girl putting them on and about 10 in line) only to be told she was going away for 15 minutes... so then he went to play, then came back and had to line up again!! Finally got a harness and walked over to be told they were closing the climbing wall. It was 2.15pm... the centre closes at 5pm. I think that's average. They need to state on their website that certain areas close easy earlier than the actual closing time. Must have been at least 60 kids ($1200/hr- $1800 income) and Max 3 staff on the floor($80?), that includes 1 walking around, 1 putting on harnesses, 1 doing the gravity walk ...2 others kept going out the back.
