Canberra Quality Meats — Local services in District of Tuggeranong

Picked up some meat today, meat was being handled without gloves, direct fingers and hands on the meat. It was from multiple servers to other customers, not just myself.

On top of this, there's no friendly staff anymore or are up for a chat. Seems like a complete change of staff.

I've been coming to this butcher for a little over a year sporadically and the business must have changed owners, as I've never had this happen previously.

I saw some of the bad reviews regarding the service, even quality of meat but still went there because I really wanted their boerwors sausage, so took the long drive to get these. Got there and decided to get some steak and pork. I didn't look at my receipt, probably my mistake there, and went home. To my surprise saw lamb cutlets on my receipt and since I don't eat lamb, was horrified because I chose my meat and it was packed while I was looking. So it wasn't lamb, but I was charged for lamb which was $5/kg more...

Would rate higher if I could. They are a fantastic butcher. The people that work there are lovely and very helpful. The meat is second to none. Their weekly specials and mince are great value for money. Even their regular prices are quite reasonable. Their bacon is the best ever.
