Eastlake Calwell — Restaurant in District of Tuggeranong

I'm not sure what has happened to the restaurant. The last 3 meals have been terrible. I wont talk badly of the staff, they are likely under a lot of pressure since covid came along and are doing their best.

But I need to say that the chicken schnittys are the worst part of all, it tastes like the chicken nuggets you buy in the freezer section at woolies. I would honestly prefer to pay that bit more, for better quality.

I know you guys are trying to recover from all the lockdowns and need to cut corners, especially for the specials. But the food used to be amazing, and I am always happy to pay that bit more at a club, for good food. It's not a drive-thru service, it doesnt need to be cheap and the majority of customers will likely agree. Personally, I'd shorten the menu for lunch menus to keep the cost of wasted produce down, and allow for more time to make those meals perfection, with what I would imagine, less staff than before.

This club used to be good but management and the staff have ruined it We took family from overseas here for a meal, and it was embarrassing to say the least. The restaurant was quiet yet it still took close to an hour to get everyones food. The kids meals took around 45mins to arrive, they completely forgot the garlic bread and then they stuffed up 3 meals (I eneded up not eating at all). There was no care factor from the staff and the duty manager was very rude about it all. I spoke to a few other patrons that night and we were not the only people in the club that night that experienced the same thing.

Has there been a change in restaurant owners - it has definitely gone downhill since reopening from lockdown! There used to be a regular schnitzel night - large and tasty schnitzels with fresh salad/chips/veg. The schnitzel nights are no longer. Went last night and had the schnitzel anyway. They are half the size they used to be, and no longer fried golden - it was bordering on burnt. The chips were delicious, but the salad was clearly leftover from at least the day before.
