Grand Court Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in District of Tuggeranong

Have ordered her at least 50 times … food is standard fair for takeaway … had some very nice dishes and some average but it’s my go to cause of proximity for pick up … this time around ordered xo combo and wife the laksa( first time) both dishes massively salty to the extreme … I suffered through half the dish before my wife had the same complaint bout the laksa… rang the restaurant and they were accomodating and said bring them in for replacement and we replace minus the msg .. my wife had three mouthfuls only… something obviously wrong with the dishes tonight… mistakes r made … returned the dishes and was refused a replacement for the xo cause I ate 50 percent of it (. And what a struggle it was)… I was honest have been a valued customer for fifteen years and to be knocked back for their mistake means I no longer order from here … your mistake , two trips for us and the replace soup component of the laksa inedible again … what a shame we live in a world of zero trust … plenty of other places to order take out and homemade is clearly preferable … in a competitive industry such is the restaurant one the response tonight...

The food was quite nice but we got a shock when we got the bill as we added our cost up before ordering. Two main dishes between 4 of us, fried rice one childs drink, a take a way fried rice. The bill was $82.90 😲which included $7 for BYO which we had never paid that before.One main meal on the menu said $ 20 and was charged $23.80. This is a very basic local restaurant nothing fancy so we were a bit shocked. A lovely Thai restaurant we go to we Entrees and two mains and rice ,kids drink and BYO and never paid anywhere near this amount, sorry we won't be back and we used to frequent Grand court a lot in the past so...

The only good thing i could say about this meal is that it was ready on time and the lettuce leaves for the sang choi bow were crisp. The sang choi bow itself was very oily, the prawns in the hotpot were soft and mushy, the chilli beef could well have been cardboard for all i know, the pepper beans were soft and soggy, and the rice was gluggy. This was overpriced mush and so bad i actually called them to explain how awful it was. Ill never eat...
