Could not fault Wildcare Australia! I called this afternoon due to having a magpie in our backyard for the past few days. We were worried as he seemed ok but wouldnt fly. I rang for advice or direction to the right place if they couldnt help. Clare on the hotline was absolutely amazing she asked questions and said she feels that he might be a baby and they don’t interfere unless sick. But she will check with a supervisor and send her photos just to check. Within minutes she called me back and advised they will come get him just to check if he was ok or if we could take him somewhere. She was googling places that were open incase there wasnt a volunteer available. She called the volunteer had them contact me within minutes and within the hour she was here! Caring, lovely and knowledgeable (i didnt grab her name sorry) but she took time and care to get him safe .. even checked his health and said he was very thin. Advised that he will go to the vet hospital and will follow up and let us know.
Honestly such great service and promptness and care for the animals! Thank...
Read moreCalled about a koala, didnt know exactly where we were or if the koala was dead/alive, the lady who answered around 10:35-10:40pm 15th of Jan was very rude and didnt give me much of a chance to explain where we were as I didnt know the exact suburb so she got a bit snobby about that and was quite abrupt, despite a dead or possibly injured animal. I had been visiting family and didn't know where we were, even though I tried to explain the road she was just rude all over. Thanks lady for your help, you need a good nights sleep I think and to learn some phone/people skills. Especially since your job is so important, anyway, hopefully this makes her change her ways as I'm not one to put up...
Read moreDriving in Broadbeach today and spotted a struggling Lorikeet. Poor darling was not behaving normally and I called Wildcare who talked me through everything and how to handle the little guy. By the time I got my ducks in a row, the Lorikeet crawled into a bush and remained smack bang in the middle without me being able to get to him. At least not safely. I shared my location and not long after Katja came to the rescue. She found him and he is now in good hands and taken care of. I couldn't be happier and I truly hope he can recover fully and return to his normal life. Thank you Wildcare so much. I am sure it is a hard job, and you are truly wonderful people for...
