Three Sydney wine drinking novices on holidays in Hobart wanted to do a wine tour on a Tuesday. Lucky for us we booked StelaVino’s wine tour, and Stel took us to open doors we couldn’t have organised. His enthusiasm for all things wine was infectious, his knowledge of the industry and its history was outstanding, his passion to educate the novices (us) and the more experienced people in our group was impressive, and his notes are “superb”. Best Wine tour ever. The wineries chosen all shared their own personal journey and showed the work and love that went into their wines. All were generous with their time, but in particular our last stop at Craigow Vineyard, with the lovely, accommodating owner Barry. It was evident that the generosity shown by all of these people, on a public holiday no less, was due to the respect they have for Step, his obvious knowledge and passion of wine shows through. Great tour of southern Tasmanian wines

We really enjoyed this tour. Thanks Stel for being our guide and explaining everything and for the detailed notes.

We visited four wineries in total and tried a variety of wines at each. I think we got to taste from 6-12 wines at each, sparkling, whites and reds in different varieties, each with an explanation.
