Amalfi Pizza & Pasta Kirwan — Local services in Kirwan

Went to get dinner tonight, was an online order. When we arrived the staff told us to wait a few mins we which we were absolutely fine with, few moments later he comes back and apologises and says another few moments. Again we were not worried it was approx 4mins since we walked in, another staff member asks for the order again, he grabs it all in a bag and tells us to get another drink. We were ecstatic with this services especially as we didn’t think there was any problems with the wait time as there was a few other customers before us. We got home and opened the bag we noticed there was an extra dessert and garlic bread! We hope you last in Townsville, they were such a good pizzas and sides, no oil, filling basis, non processed toppings and a lot of toppings, we will be telling all our friends and family about this place! We ordered the Pesto pizza, Spaniard pizza, Donut Fries, Biscoff pudding, and a Garlic Bread. They gave us the Oreo pudding and the other garlic bread + 2 drinks that...

Staff are friendly, looks very clean and the menu looks good.

But very slow. Understaffed. When you ask for a wait time they tell you 5mins when it's more like 20-30mins. Tried their "premium" pizzas and was really disappointed to pay $26 or $28 for the quality of toppings they use. Like their super budget shredded ham that looks and tastes nothing like ham. Or a small handful of tiny prawns scattered on two peices. Also their pineapple chunks are way too big.

If they maybe limit their menu and pay for proper ingredients and hire some staff or figure out their wait times then this place...

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this was unacceptable. I was eating a pizza from this shop when I felt something strange while chewing. To my absolute disgust, it was a dead fly baked into the pizza. This isn’t just a small mistake — it’s a major hygiene violation. I lost my appetite immediately and couldn’t believe this got past their kitchen. This was an extremely disappointing and frankly revolting experience.
