WOW!! WHERE DO I START FROM...... First of all the vanilla slice that they sell here is the biggest and best tasting I have ever had anywhere period. The original has a light fluffy custard and pastry baked to perfection. I tried the chocolate vanilla slice the other day and it was absolutely amazing as well. Always baked fresh and will be buying it by the tray load next time I have a party or event planned. Secondly the owners of the business a husband and wife team are the most genorous most hospitable people you could ever meet. They deserve a shout out for their hospitality. You have made me feel like family every time I stop by. Thank you so much and I will continue to support your business. Thirdly the cheese and spinach pies the meat pies that they make in the mornings are also absolutely unbelievable. I take them home and reheat them the next day and they taste as fresh as the first day. I also don't want to forget to mention the huge jam dounuts that they make. Can't recommend this place enough! The vanilla slice comes in classic and French the difference being the icing on top. The slices are absolutely delicious but massive so I would recommend sharing. If you want to try something a little bit different the chocolate vanilla slice is amazing. It's like a chocolate mousse in flaky pastry. For the more daring there are weekly flavours like strawberry, rum & raisin, passion fruit etc. Aside from vanilla slices this place also has cannolli and home made jam doughnuts as well as assorted savoury pastries and hot & cold drinks. I had been meaning to try this place for a couple of years, and was finally in the neighbourhood.

To be honest, I was spoilt years ago when discovered the best Vanilla Slice EVER in a cafe next to the Hampton Railway Station. It was huge (had to share) and creamy, light and fluffy. I don’t know where they bought them from; but the cafe has changed hands a few times since then.

So, I am judging unfairly any Vanilla Slice I now come across, as nothing compares to those.
