HORRIBLE EXPIRED CAKE Needed cake for a surprise birthday so drove all the way to Dandenong at 8.30 on friday night. Asked the person that i need your best cake. He said all the cakes are made fresh and best. So I bought a chocolate cake Upon cutting the cake, icing was rock hard and we could smell a bad odour from the icing. Inside cake was stale and started to crumble upon cutting. I called them to complain and request refund, but they refused to even listen and said the same story "All our cake are made fresh" and adviswd me that I should keep the cake outside for few hours before cutting. If the cake was fresh but frozen, then icing shouldnt have bad odour or cake shouldnt crumble. Had to throw the whole cake into bin. What a waste of time and money.. THIS PLACE MUST BE CLOSED DOWN FOR SELLING EXPIRED ROTTEN FOOD.

I would not recommend MCN cakes to anyone. My experience with them does not match their website or the reviews. The cake I received looked unprofessional, messy and rushed. The gold cross and the number one looked amateurish, they were also not aligned. The blue fondant around the border of the number 1 is quite messy. When I contacted MCN to let them know how I felt I was told that they had gone beyond what I had requested (at their suggestion, which I was fine with) and this is what happens when they go beyond for their customers.

First of all i would like to thank MCN Cake shop in dandenong.I was so worried about my friends birthday because i didnt had any way to give a cake to my friend.Because im in sri lanka and my friend in australia.Finally i found this fabulous unforgettable MCN Cake shop.I never thought a kind and helpfull service that i will get.The cake was verry tasty and the presentation is superb.My friend also informed me that the cake were superb and tasty.Their customer service were high and they are treating their customers as family.Hats off for this amazing cake shop.I would love to oder cake more and more. I ordered Lamprais, Ribbon Cake and Fish cutlets for a family gathering on Saturday. I couldnā€™t have been more impressed. The Lamprais were just delicious and so huge. Those cutlets were incredibly tasty and left people wanting more.Sadly the Ribbon cake is nearly finished which is such a pity. Talking about it, is making me want more. Some of my guests were tasting Sri Lankan food for the first time and I couldnā€™t have been prouder to present each dish. They were so complementary about the food and have taken your details.
